I have been ordering their pittsburgh salad for years. I ordered one today with chicken. It is 21.00. They no longer add beets, egg or cheese. It is lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers chicken and fries! Its overpriced lettuce!!! CRAZY to me. They didn’t even give us utensils! I will NEVER order from here again. They should be ashamed to serve this for 21.00!!!!

I have been a Member of the Jacktown Ride & Hunt Club beginning over 60 years ago. Always paid my Membership Dues before they were due. Went To Dinner a few weeks ago. Ordered my Dinner and the Dinner comes with a Salad & potato or Vegetable. I asked My Server if they use Ice-Berg Lettuce, as Due to my Health, I am only permitted Ice-Berg Lettuce. My server told me it is Mixed Greens. I asked if I could substitute th Mixed Green salad for the dinner cooked Vegetable of the day.. After taking My order, the Server came back and told me the Chef said “We do NOT Substitute” Come now, I thought being a Member of a Private Club, The Club should accommodate it s Members. Did I ask for something Special ? I wrote a letter to Management with my complaint, Did not hear back. Sent an e-mail requesing my Dues for 2026 & my contribution towards the Building Fund to be retured, as I do not wish to be a Member any longer. Never had a reply.

Food has always been good, especially if you like steaks or chichen marmalade, but the club was not full, and the meal took way too long to come to the table.
Even though we were the wake after a funeral today, their team did well to serve all our many family and guests in its filled, upper room. All our food was prepared well and presented in a timely manner. Thank you all.

Jacktown Ride & Hunt Club is by far the best private club in the are. From the friendly staff, to the device at the bar, to the food, this place is second-to-none. The food is always delicious and prepared exactly how you requested it. The business is always kept clean and even during this pandemic, they are adapting well, abiding by all the mandates. If you are looking for a club to join in the area, look no further than Jacktown.

Been coming there since I was a kid with my parents and that was a long time ago! Food is still reasonably good although the selection is way narrower than it used to be. Salads have definitely gone downhill. still a nice place but they definitely need to try harder.

I’ve coming here for pretty much my whole life, and the Ride & Hunt really feels like home; not just in nostalgia, but in the warm and caring service, the wonderful meals that taste truly homemade, and the reasonable pricing. We’ve celebrated many milestones in our family at the Club, and I imagine we always will.
My most recent trip there provided one of the best entrees of my life, in the Shrimp Fra Diavolo. Crab Cakes and steaks are always superb as well.

This place is so near and dear to my heart. My husband was a member for years before he met me, and I’ve been a member with him for the past few years. The service is excellent. The food is also excellent, and they are very accommodating with my celiac and needing to have things prepared gluten free. The wine pours are heavy. They are also in the process of redecorating the inside, and it looks great. This is by far my favorite place to go out for a special event with friends or just eat a great meal with my husband.

So I’ve been a member for sometime. The food is good sometimes over thought. I supported the club through Covid by frequenting and doing a larger membership to support the club and the workers by over tipping significantly to help the community. The club didn’t send me a renewal letter and I spoke to Jackie in house about it and she told me it had happened to others that they would reach out to me for renewal information. I proceeded to the bar for dinner and was told if I didn’t renew immediately I couldn’t be served and was excused to the streets. I like to look at things and make my decisions. It’s fine I grew up in the streets but earned my way to the finer things. After being excused I reached out to Jackie VIA telephone but she was too busy to take my call. What a slap in the face! Currently at Texas Roadhouse waiting to be served a lovely meal without the peasantry treatment. I’m not offended but betrayed for my love and support I offered in hard times! Good luck! Membership cancelled!
