One of if not the best Speakeasy Style Bar in the state can be found in Hudson Massachusetts. Less Than Greater Than has all the cocktails you’d expect and great food including one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.

First off, the speakeasy was located in an ice cream shop. You just have to flip a light switch and they open the secret door. That was super cool. The vibe inside is exactly what a speakeasy should feel: low-key quiet and romantic. They played 90’s jams that I kept shazamming. Now on to the food and drinks, which was outstanding. I ordered the smoked ribeye and an old-fashioned drink. The smoked ribeye could be on the list of best things I’ve ever eaten. The old-fashioned was really good 9/10. If you are ever in the Hudson area run over here and have a meal with a cocktail because they, do it right.

Omg this is the best dining experience I ever had. The secret spot, not too loud, not ordinary, very cute with cool atmosphere. Definitely worth it.

The friendliest staff I have ever had the pleasure of being served by. And of course the food was delicious. The experienced bar tenders could make any drink imaginable with the variety of alcohol lining the wall.

We have been to Less Than Greater Than several times and have had excellent experiences every visit! I’m reviewing now because we took our family from out of state for a visit feeling a little uncertain because one is vegan and the other has a dairy allergy and celiac disease. We advised our waitress who promptly (and with a smile) went to consult with the chef about options. The chef and waitress returned together and he discussed everything he could do for my family member! We held Less Than Greater Than in high regard before this visit – and after this amazing experience going above and beyond to ensure a fantastic and safe meal was prepared for my family, they rank up there with the stars! Highly recommend! Delicious food, excellent service and the most caring, capable staff around!

The cocktails were delicious, and the waitstaff was super helpful and nice when making recommendations. The cheeseboard was VERY good. the entrees were ok, and took a fair amount of time, even though it wasn’t super busy. This is a bar, and the smaller plates are much better than the entrees.

SUCH a cool spot. The speakeasy vibe is alive and very fun. Drinks are unique and tasty. Service left much to be desired – we poured our own water at the table (not just refills) and were just given a handful of napkins and utensils to divvy up, sort of weird for a sit down restaurant. Food wise, it was good, but portions are very small. I had the special, which was a risotto with shrimp – $24, and served on an appetizers plate. Risotto was well prepared (which is impressive!), but the shrimp preparation was super boring – no real seasoning, missed opportunity. The good news, youll have room for ice cream on your way out! Open kitchen, love that- great to know it’s clean. Great date location, definitely NOT kid friendly, lighting is dim so bring your readers and turn on your phone light. I’m looking forward to trying again.

This was such a cool experience. The entry was mysterious, although I really wish the host peaked out the window like in the YouTube video I watched of the place. Found out later the host was actually not a regular employee of the place, so understandable. Our waitress was so attentive and pleasant! She was so on top of clearing our table, offering more drinks, refilling our water, and just being kind in the rush of things. The drinks were so cool and enjoyable..although I only got the ice cream based drink (the grass hopper, I think it was called). Totally recommend! It’s sweet, but you can still taste a hint of the whiskey. Moving on to the food: got the pierogi as an appetizer (my furst time, so it was unoque but tasty with the sauce and caramelized onions), the Dan Dan noodles and something with sausage tortellini and broccoli (forgot the name), and the only thing I’d complain about is the Dan Dan noodles..there was just too much noodles and not enough flavor..I watched a video that said how amazing it was so I was excited and then quickly disappointed in the lack of flavor.

Big city experience out in the country 😉 Fun, speakeasy vibes with a wall of every liquor your heart could desire. We were sat at a secluded table and when I asked if we can get something more central, they were kind enough to accommodate. The place was buzzing on a Saturday night.
