Been to Rochester Deli many times over the years, mostly for their fish fries. This visit was specifically for bakery items, and that is when I learned that I have apparently been enjoying Periwinkle desserts all along. Their production facility is next door, but the baked goods are sold through Rochester Deli. I also learned that the deli owner’s daughter runs the bakery.
I came in hoping to pick up a few cupcakes and possibly a small round cake. There was only one cupcake option available, a Boston Cream, which did look good. Unfortunately, there were no cakes available, so I struck out there. I did grab a couple of the peanut butter cookies half dipped in chocolate, which are always a hit at my house.
The staff member who helped me apologized for the limited selection, but there was not much they could do.
Overall, I really enjoy their cookies, bars, and cake slices, and I will definitely be back for some of their regular items.

Cupcakes were delicious! We used periwinkles for a baby shower and wedding desserts, and they were definitely fan favorites. Easy to order order and great service. Very kind staff with all my logistics questions!

This is about as old school of a bakery as you can get. Cookies are fantastic. Specialty cupcakes are INSANE. Service is so customer focused. Definitely my go to bakery from now on. Yum, yum, yum

We used Periwinkle’s Bakery for the dessert bar at our wedding on 9.9.2023 and I can say their desserts are a crowd pleaser!! Everyone loved the desserts and I loved how they cut them into half pieces rather than the whole piece. We had roughly 150 guests and we ordered 5 large platters and ended up with one extra platter by the end of the night so it worked out perfectly!

I ordered a Ribbon Torte for a friend’s birthday. They decorated it perfectly to reflect my friend’s love of gardening. The torte itself was amazing – fresh, and perfectly baked & frosted with scrumptious buttercream icing. I highly recommend Periwinkle Bakery!

Thank you Periwinkle’s for making my graduation celebration all the better! They were incredibly kind and helpful from the moment I placed my order over the phone to the moment I picked it up. The ribbon torte was a definite crowd pleaser and the decoration was exactly what I was hoping for. They weren’t sure they would be able to fit all of the text I requested on the smallest torte which was completely fine, but I was so happy to see they managed to make it work and look wonderful on the final product. Chef Alicia and the Perwinkle Bakery Staff absolutely knocked it out of the park with our wedding dessert bars and cake. Super helpful through out the whole process and prices well. We barely had any leftovers to take home after or event because they were so good. Will continue to use this bakery for any cake or dessert needs in the future.

Fabulous cakes with wonderful icing. We had the chocolate with, I think, white icing for my daughter’s wedding and many people came up to me and said it was the best cake they had ever had. My daughter is from Chicago, I’m from St Louis,

Why on earth in this day and age are companies too lazy to update hours on Google. We all get millions of spam but yet we race to get to an establishment before it closes only to find out it closed an hour earlier. Do we have such little respect for the patrons that provide roofs over our heads, put our children thru school and feed us. I now know that us so true. If it had been Christmas eve I would have called, but Saturday 2 days before Christmas never in a million years. If we ran our business the way this bakery runs it’s business we would be out of business! Thanks for nothing. No longer a customer!
