Volcano Sushi in Shelby Township is, without a doubt, the only place I go for sushi. I’m a loyal customer and return all the time because they consistently provide a perfect experience.
Their takeout service is incredibly efficient. My order is always ready right on time, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. What’s most impressive is their attention to detail—they get my order 100% correct every single time, which I truly appreciate.
But of course, the main reason I keep coming back is the amazing sushi. The quality and freshness are unbeatable, and the taste is absolutely delicious. This place is truly a gem, and I can’t recommend it enough!

It was very busy when we went, wait was long. Got our appetizer quickly, and sushi came out later. The sushi was delicious but mine had additional ingredients than what was listed on the menu, and one roll was missing ingredients–still delicious though. I’ll try it again, they have unique sushi rolls! I’m assuming it was just a hectic weekend night.

The staff here was awesome. Very friendly, funny and attentive. The dining area is very small maybe only 8 tables which is fine. The menu has good options for sushi but does not have descriptions of regular rolls and the only way you know they have them is by looking at the order sheet. We only ordered sushi and it was good.

eel roll was gross, soggy, no flavor. seemed like it had been submerged in water.
seems to have shrunk in size. rather than raise the price they just sort of make it tiny. It’s a shame because this place used to be really good, I used to tell everyone to go here.

I have never ordered anything cooked from there. I always eat raw. And in West Texas, you wouldn’t expect fresh seafood, but you don’t taste the sea at all. It is as fresh as you can get!!!! I live a little over 2 hours away and I go to Volcano specifically!!!

Ordered from DoorDash but a lot of food was missing. Got the sushi sashimi special but got no sashimi, just sushi. Also forgot my salad and some of the nigiri had small, black slimy stuff on it and had a strong fishy odor so I threw everything out. Also got veggie noodles and found pieces of chicken in it. Was my first time having it but unfortunately won’t have again
