Great little sushi joint that’s pretty close to the strip. Sushi was high quality and tasted delicious . All the sushi was fresh. My girls enjoyed the udon! The bulgolgie fries were not the best! The yakitori was a little on the dry side! However if you come for sushi, you came to the right place! Service was great. Place was clean !

Came here for lunch because there were many positive online comments.
AYCE at $25.95 on weekday lunch for 90 minutes seems reasonable. On closer examination it leaves out many premium choices and for $9 more, total $34.95 truly all you can eat any choices. Though many premium ones you can only get one time.
So I basically went on both sides of the menu and picked mostly “one time only” then “All day special only” and that’s probably got 15 and more dishes right off the bet.
My expectation on and AYCE is not to expect premium sushi/sashimi etc when at around $36 which is about average nowadays. I wait till I get to Japan which is every year to have my fill of truly memorable fresh seafood under craftsman chefs.
Back to Smile Shota, they are a lot busier than when this food hall opened in the last couple years. Word of mouth do get out.
They are slightly better than average AYCE places I’ve been to in town. Not superb though.

-There are several reasons why I like this place.
-The first is the huge selection you get to choose from when you do the all-you-can-eat.
-You’ll have your choice of the entire front/back of the menu.
-There are a few items that you can only order once, but it’s okay the menu contains a lot of variety of high-quality items.
-The second reason why I like eating here is the minimal amount of rice they use for the sushi, you get your money’s worth of protein vs. carbs.
-The handrolls are huge & filled w/ lot’s of fish (spicy tuna & yellowtail).
-The third reason why I like eating here is the super-friendly service, everyone was always coming by to ask for more orders or filling up your water.
Overall, I like the dining area layout & the smiley faces.

Solid all you can eat sushi spot with an interesting vibe. It’s attached to a quirky food hall, and there’s a 90 minute limit on how long you can eat (presumably to prevent extreme acts of gluttony!). I had my fill of sushi in less than 60 minutes though and the sushi, sashimi and nigiri were all decent quality. Plus there are a lot of interesting rolls and apps that you can get as part of the AYCE deal. Great value for $36 a person.

I was really impressed with their fish quality and fish to rice ratio! They really pack in the fish in the rolls and their nigiri is smaller so you can try more. I also really enjoyed their cooked appetizers and dishes like the rose udon. I’m visiting from NYC and honestly really impressed with the AYCE sushi scene here. All the staff were very kind and attentive and the food came out very fast as well.

So much to like at this off-strip all you can eat. Our expectations weren’t too high given the affordable price, so we were pleasantly surprised when it checked all the good/cheap/fast boxes for value.
Most notably was the fast. Our server Ron was always on point and super friendly, asking for additional orders just before we were running low on food. The kitchen staff was on triple Red Bulls because food came out within just a couple minutes too. And every dish was amazing, especially the nigiri where the fish slices were large and rice portions very small, a great ratio to maximize AYCE.
Between the nirigi, rolls, hand rolls, and apps—every item hit the satisfaction spot. Highly recommend this place to anyone in Vegas.

What can I add that everyone else hasn’t? Granted it’s not your top shelf sushi place quality but this buffet quality beats most typical sushi places esp with that ridiculous price. U will not leave hungry. I mostly avoided nigiri and rolls but just took the special nigiri options they had. Stupid good. Best of all they are quick to bring your next order. U have to be really really hungry if it takes you the full 90 minutes. I was done in 40. Run, drive, walk, Uber. Do whatever you can to get there. It’s a little out of the way but you will be hungry by the time u arrive
