We love coming here at Christmas! It’s magical! Lots of food options and souvenirs to choose from. There is a member only area for the wine club. Clean and beautifully decorated for the holidays. More than just Wine to purchase. We stood in line for about 30 minutes for the wine tasting but it was really busy. We went a few days ago -day after Christmas and we forgot tha school was still out. Lots of families! Make sure you stop here on your adventure! Great history about the tunnel to the wine shop being a dairy company first. Party rooms as well are available. Enjoy!

The wine shop has a complimentary wine tasting section. They will offer five selections from the list. The queue was not too bad. We had to wait around 15 minutes. The wine shop is spacious and plenty of selections. The staffs are extremely helpful.

To the back of the wine shop is their wine bar where you can buy wine and shareable plates. After our wine tasting, we headed over to the wine bar and ordered a cheese plate for $26 and a bottle of Biltmore’s wine which is the same price as in the wine shop but you don’t pay a corkage fee if you buy it at the bar. The cheese plate was very good and came with generous portions. Highly recommend it! There’s outdoor seating but beware of bees.

We did the free wine tasting and did some shopping in the wine shop. Very nice place. They had a place outside to get charcuterie boards and bottles or glasses of wine. They had a nice little garden to sit in.

This is a very nice place to shop for wine on the Biltmore Estate.
The Biltmore estate is a tourist attraction in Asheville, NC. The estate includes a mansion, winery, stables, and a beautiful drive. Each of these is a treasure in its own right. The winery location is on the northwest corner of the estate. The area by the winery has several spaces to visit like the wine shop, farmyard, courtyard, hotel, and winery/wineshop. The shop can be accessed through a tunnel that is absolutely magical the way it was decorated when we visited. It was covered in lights the length of the tunnel. Along the tunnel, there are alcoves with informational signs about the winery. Once you get through the tunnel, there is a set of stairs that you ascend and then you can go right or left. The right leads you into the shop and the left leads you to an open seating area for another venue. The shop is large with a large wine selection and a small gift shop. They offered free tastings of cider when I visited along with a wine sampling. The shop is beautiful and the staff was friendly. I would recommend visiting if you are in the area and have access to the estate.

Very nice wine shop… I didn’t care for the wine after doing the tasting, met the only malbec I didn’t like… Prices are “affordable luxury” $20-40 a bottle, but I skipped it. It’s a bit difficult to find your way out with all the covid routing. The wine tasting dumps you in the shop but you can also enter near the hotel.

We enjoyed visiting the Wine Shop while in Antler Hill Village. we found things for ourselves and others. We liked being able to sample different things while in the shop, and we found a dip that we particularly liked.

Whenever we visit Biltmore we make a point of stopping for a tasting and to buy a case of wine. The staff is always available to assist and to answer questions and the selection of wines is outstanding. The wait for a tasting can be long during peak times but is worth it for the ability to try the current selections.
