We had a great dinner! Everything was delicious. We got the goat cheese appetizer. It was perfect and so was the bread it came with. Entrees pictured are: the creole chicken and shrimp, seafood linguine, and Salmon Oscar’s style. Everyone loved their meal! I would definitely come back the menu had so many things we wanted to try.

1st time dining at the new location with my eldest son. This is his favorite place to dine. Mom booked a ball game and he booked dinner. My son wanted to introduce me to his favorite server of all time, Yo. Yo’s likeable personality is energetic, friendly and comes with a polite smile. He knows his sports and can carry on a conversation. The food was impeccable as usual for Carson’s. I do have to say that the ambiance of the Andover location is a more quaint, upscale dining vibe which i enjoyed so much. I appreciate the original fireplace being left in the center of the room. It adds character. The low lighting allows for conversation to stay within your table. Remarkable display Carson’s! I am impressed with the significant difference in the vibe that this place feels from the moment you arrive than the original downtown scenery. Perhaps the difference is the paved parking and the inviting opening of the entrance….perhaps its bc its not rustic with steak house competing vibes. The Andover location is situated on the 18th hole of the old golf course with authenticity and an upscale country club syncracy. If you haven’t dined here, then you’re in for a treat, if you have been here before then you already know what a delight of a venue this fine establishment already is.

One of my favorite restaurants in Lexington, Kentucky. It is a bit more expensive but definitely worth the price. Drinks are good and I’ve gotten so many 10/10 dishes there. I would recommend the spicy pasta filet, the seafood linguini, or the creole chicken and shrimp and grits (added picture). The tomato soup is also fire. Steak is also really good but the flavor in the dishes above are better than the steak.

We normally go to the downtown location but you have to love the setting here. They’ve done such a good job with the atmosphere. That alone is worth the visit, but the food makes it even better. So many things on the menu to recommend, but the ribs are amazing.

From the service to the atmosphere to the food, Carson’s at Andover is a MUST try. We had such a great experience here that we booked a second visit a few days later before we had to fly home. Every single thing we ate was delicious and well prepared, and the service was top notch. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend that everyone needs to stop by – you won’t be disappointed that you did! If I was a local I would be a regular here it was that good.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The food was absolutely amazing, my wife had the Salmon Oscar style with Pork Belly Mac n Cheese ( which I ate because she was too full). I had the Sweet and Spicy Ribs with the Parmesan Garlic Potato Chips both were amazing. Our server was top notch no detail went unnoticed our glasses were always full and any need or requests were taken care of immediately.

Outstanding! My wife and I came here for dinner and it was amazing. Everything from our server Carly to the dinner itself were amazing. We had a burger and prime rib sandwich and they were delicious. We definitely plan on coming back. Make sure you have a reservation though they always have a pretty large wait. I guess the price you pay when you are so popular.

This was the best dinner experience that I have ever had in Lexington. The atmosphere was beautiful and comfortable. We had a table that overlooked the golf course and fountain. The food was outstanding. The service was excellent. We had the truffle fries with bearnaise, crab and lobster. For my entree, I had the scallops and it was incredible! Bravo Carson’s and thank you!

If you’ve read my reviews before, you know why travel extensively throughout the world with work and see lots of destinations. Carson’s makes my Hidden Gem list. The service was exceptional. The food was high quality with a big portion. The ambiance, also great. The original location is downtown, I would argue that the Andover location is a much more polished experience. I’m glad that this restaurant is not located near me. I would be broke! The rib appetizer was amazing! This is a 10/10 when in Lexington!

Second time visit. Recommend making reservations. We had the cheese pretzels as an appetizer to kick things off followed by chicken parmesan with pesto and the Bourbon steak. Everything was prepared and presented perfectly. Service started out well, but as the evening moved along we saw less of our server. 30 minutes to get desert, and then 20 more for the check. We ordered several gift certificates for gifts but ended up leaving after another 15 min wait.
Aug 2025 Back in town and was really looking forward to a Carson, sour and nachos. Or visit today was awesome and I would like to thank Meg for some awesome service. The roasted red pepper soup was delicious.
