Stopped in for a quick coffee and bagel only to find I was 15th in line to place my order and everyone else wanted more than a couple things. It took 20-30 minutes. Coffee was good and bagel was fresh and tasty, but I can’t stop there again unless I know I’ve got enough time to wait. Great bagel, not always very fast.

I went inside to order for the first time today. The staff was friendly and helpful while helping me take my order. My concern is how dirty the surfaces are. Not it was a busy rush and we haven’t wiped down yet but the caked on yellow greasy dirt on the walls behind the toasters/ slicers. The trash overflowing, the handwashing sink caked with grime. Watching the young man bite his nail and glove up without washing his hands. (Not seeing anyone wash hands at all between glove changes) Not that it would matter in such a dirty sink. If this what the customers can see, what on earth does the back kitchen look like?

Barry’s Bagels is my favorite bagel spot in the Toledo area. I generally get the corn beef bagel with Swiss cheese toasted and it never disappoints. The best thing about this location is that you can watch the bagels being made, and there’s also a space for you to sit and enjoy with large groups.

Truly the most delicious bagels I’ve ever had, including in New York City. I don’t know what this location does differently, but they’re even better than other Barry’s locations I’ve frequented. So, so good.

I’ve never been there before and I had an app where you buy their leftovers at the end of the day. I got a huge bag of some of the best bagels I’ve ever had in my entire life! The girl behind the counter was friendly and polite and it was just overall a really nice experience. I will definitely go back.

I’ve been to Barry’s many of times and paid with Cash and never had an issue today. I walked in and my total was 49 and change. I gave the gentleman $50 cash and he said we don’t take cash and I get it. He explained that they’ve been getting fake money, but the way he was looking at me he seemed like I was being profiled and that’s just straight up. Ridiculous if you guys have been having a problem with getting fake money, maybe you should take responsibility and get the marker or the machine to see if the money is real or not instead Making it an inconvenience to get food through you guys once again I feel like I was being profiled a few gentlemen before me paid with cash And reading some of the replies a few years back I know that this comment won’t matter because some of the replies on there are so unprofessional! I’ll NEVER NEVER go back to this dump! Place was dirty as hell and it was barely noon smh! RACIALLY DISCRIMINATION AT ITS BEST!

A few weeks ago, I ordered a PBJ bagel and received a jelly bagel—no peanut butter. Flash forward to today: my husband bought me breakfast. I ordered a toasted bagel with butter and cream cheese. I got to work and discovered the bagel was plain (maybe a sprinkle of butter/no cream cheese)
I called the shop and spoke to the manager, who told me the employee claimed they added butter (because she remembers the butter being hard) and cream cheese. I asked if she wanted a picture for proof. She responded that I could take a picture or leave a review on the website. So here I am.
No attempt was made to resolve the issue. I’m disappointed but, sadly, not surprised.

This place has gone to the rats since Barry died. The food is still tasty but the hygiene is deplorable and the service is slow and less motivated. The new ownership needs to wake up and focus on clean operations.
