Deep fried calamari had a good amount of batter (meaning not too much) but could use some side cocktail sauce.
The seafood boiling pot was excellent. Fish, clams, mussels, mushrooms, vermicelli, cabbage, and even a small lobster tail sliced in two evenly sized pieces to share.
Milk tea with very nice soft boba.
I think if anything, they could increase their dish options. They had only two choices for appetizer and sizzling plates. but what they have is certainly good!
Seemed like the Sizzling plate was a new addition to their menu because there was only one option available that was customizable and I got the pepper option. It was pretty good because it had a nice BBQ smokey flavor to it.
Their boba was very interesting because it wasn’t soft like it usually is, but it wasn’t hard in a bad way.
~~Parking: It’s located in a shared plaza with a couple other shops, but there was still plenty of parking when we departed around 6:30 PM.
~~Service: Good. You place your order through the QR code and the meals come, though it can be a little hard to hail someone down if you’re looking to check up on your order or to get the check.
~~Pros: Food was very filling and it was nice that they had a lot of sauce options for you to choose from.
~~Cons: Would be nice if they provided extra bowls for sharing the plates (hot pot & sizzling plate).
~~Tip: If you like spicy, would definitely recommend the Sichuan Flavor Hot Soup.
~~Return: Definitely, it would be cool to see if they expand their sizzling plate menu to include more options.
When we got there (~5:45 PM on Tuesday), there was a decent amount of parking spots and a lot of seatings in the restaurant. Service was excellent. They were very nice, friendly, attentive and quick 🙂
Once being seated, we scanned the QR code on the table to place an order online.
We ordered:
– Fried calamari: crispy, good flavor, and perfectly done, not chewy at all.
– Thai flavor hot pot with an extra side of noodles: the hot pot itself already has thick noodles with it. Good flavor. A lot of seafood.
– Sweet garlic soy beef sizzling plate with extra beef, egg and cheese: pretty delicious. Make sure to mix it well so the flavor is evenly distributed. I thought the rice would be a bit crunchy like hot stone bimbimbap but I guess the plate is used to mainly keep it warm.
– Milk cream green tea: the boba and lychee toppings are good but the tea part is just okay. 1/2 sugar is not too sweet so that part is great.
– Tiger pearl milk: it’s also just okay. I ordered 1/2 sugar but it was really sweet (sweeter than the 1/2 sugar in the other milk tea)
The highlight of our meal was actually the boba! The Thai tea and the boba were so good and extremely affordable compared to the usual outrageous boba prices.
The actual restaurant was not well-cleaned and lacked any sort of ambiance. The floors were disgustingly wet and five minutes in, I almost slipped and fell on the way to my table. My friend had a boot on her foot due to an injury and found it difficult to walk around with liquids on the floor. The bathroom was just as nasty with 1 of the 2 stalls clogged and the ground somehow being even more soggy and slippery than the restaurant floor.
Overall, good food, incredible boba, and horrible vibes.
Spicy and flavorful that is right up my alley! Perfect Combinations!!
We Absolutely enjoyed eating here!
I love the Welcoming Environment, the Beautiful, Relaxing, and Friendly Atmosphere, and also the Simple Charming Decors as well!
