Was given the perfect corner table.
They served us water immediately.
I noticed the place was extremely clean. Well taken care of. And had excellent decor for the theme. Very warm and quaint.
Menus were brought to us right away.
We opted for
Two French onion soups.
Croque monsieur w/ potatoes.
And
Seafood crepe
French onion soups.
Finally a French onion soup that tasted authentic.
Rich broth with perfectly caramelized onions. Sealed with bread and perfectly melted Gruyère cheese.
Croque monsieur.
Nicely cut thick ham. Good light Béchamel sauce. Lots of melted cheese. Tastes absolutely fantastic.
The potatoes it came with were heavy. I should have got a salad instead. But that doesn’t mean the potatoes weren’t good. They were excellent!
Seafood crepe.
Smothered in cheese, sauce and herbs.
Seafood tastes fresh, crepe was made correctly.
Seasoning was on point.
Staff was extremely attentive and took care of us very well.
So would I recommend this place? Most definitely.
Glad I found it. It’s definitely a great change and option for something to eat that’s different around here.
If you like crepes, traditional French onion soup and a good croissant? Check it out!
Food: far above average.
Decor: older but makes sense for the theme.
Staff: professional and attentive.
Cleanliness: very clean.
Bathrooms: very clean.
Atmosphere: relaxing, chill French music playing.
To make matters worse, the service was subpar. When I politely informed the server about the issue, they seemed unconcerned and still presented me with a half bill of 28$ I was shocked and disappointed that they expected me to pay for a meal that was clearly not fit for consumption and I didn’t even eat.
The lack of quality control and customer care is alarming. Unless they seriously revamp their kitchen and service standards, I would strongly advise against dining here.

The coffee!! Goodness I never like restaurant coffee—it was delicious!! I ordered a vanilla and hazelnut latte with oat milk. My mother got the same with regular milk. For brunch we ordered the Crepes, French toast, and a side of scrambled eggs to share. Loved that the plates included a slice of orange. Then our own sides of bacon. Both entrees came with a cup of seasonal fruit and whipped cream. The fruit was so fresh! I’ve never had kiwi that tasted so sweet; I still want more! The crepes were good, but I think they would have been better with lingonberry sauce than maple syrup. Would still get it again tho. The French Toast—myyyy—gooooodddddneeesss it is superb!! They make their French Toast using croissants. It taste like a mixture of churros and funnel cake—get it, I promise you it’s worth it. The eggs were so fluffy, the bacon—let me tell you. There are so many places that over cook bacon to where it’s too hard. Their bacon had just the right balance of crisp and chewy.
I enjoyed looking at the wall in the hallway to the restroom. They have showcased some of the history of Le Petit Cafe, and it leads to the bakery. Which I’m sad to say, after walking on the harbor, we were still too full to go back for pastries so we’ll have to stop by again soon!
I wish I knew about this place sooner. There’s so much more on their menu that looks divine. Such as their quiche and madame croque. Cannot say enough how much I love and recommend Le Petit Cafe & Bakery.
Merci beaucoup for a magnifique brunch
The family dropped in right after opening and the staff were very accommodating with setting up some tables with us. After being seated of course I began looking around and it’s a very cute little place with some kitschy French decor. Soon we were seen by the waiter who was very pleasant and informative about the food. We placed our order and waited for the food.
The food arrived and looked delicious! The family began to eat and it was nothing but smiles from ear to ear. As you can see from the pics I got the steak and eggs with potatoes au gratin. The steak was a little bland and not the largest steak but came with some tasty sauce. All smiles until the bomb dropped and the price of the steak was revealed…$45…
The menu said “market price” so this is not their fault but just be prepared like I was not!
