Worth the wait. Finally, made it to Fishermen’s Seafood after a couple of previous attempts when the place was packed to the gills, no seats on the dock, just the scent of fresh fish and the sound of happy diners. This time, luck was on our side, and it was everything we’d hoped for.
From the quirky little signs that give the place its charm to the generous portions and genuinely friendly staff, it felt like a coastal gem tucked into our own backyard. We ordered the fish and chips and a bowl of chowder, both were spot-on. Crispy, golden, and comforting in all the right ways.
Highly recommend if you’re craving a laid-back, satisfying seafood lunch. We’ll definitely be back, hopefully with a seat on the dock again.

The clam chowder here is delicious and filling. The views and aesthetics of the entire restaurant are so fun and inviting. Everything is priced fair and the staff are every bit accommodating.

Touring up the Pacific Coast and stopped in Coos Bay for a day. Spotted this place while we were walking on the boardwalk. Really quiet on a lovely, sunny Sunday afternoon but lovely, friendly and quick service- we had the seafood basket and sat out in the floating seating area.

Excellent fresh and tasty fish and chips at a good price point.

Ate here today. It was delicious. I had the clam chowder bread bowl. My husband and son had cod (?) and oysters. This is a floating restaurant, so if you get a little queasy from the water movement, you can always order, then eat at the picnic tables above the restaurant. This was such a cool place, with great seaside ambience, and friendly people.

Tried the food truck and the main floating restaurant.

I like the food truck better bigger portions.
But the main place has way better atmosphere.
It’s on the river.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine friendliness from the staff — it really set the tone for the meal. Everyone was attentive, polite, and seemed genuinely passionate about what they do.

The food was absolutely top-notch. The fish was perfectly cooked — crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside — and the batter had just the right crunch without being greasy. The chips were golden and fluffy, seasoned perfectly, and paired beautifully with their house-made tartar sauce. Everything tasted fresh and clearly made with care.

What stood out most was the atmosphere and service. Even during busy hours, the team made sure every customer was looked after. It’s rare these days to find a place where great food and great hospitality come together so effortlessly.

Owner was very welcoming and showed us the fresh fish along with the other seafood they use. I got the combo and it was all cooked perfectly and tasted great! The chowder had great flavor and right amount of potatoes, clams and bacon. It’s a good thing we aren’t from here cause this place would be a regular for us… you are actually eating right over the water so that’s a bonus!
