I stopped in here on the way to the Hamilton train station. It’s super convenient since it’s about 4min away. The place is pretty small inside but we were sat right away. Our server was really friendly and got to us quickly and took our orders. I’m always excited to try a new breakfast spot and this place was good. My boyfriend got the Huevos Rancheros and he wasn’t too impressed. They forgot the cheese but he said the black beans were really good. The avocado was also kind of brown. I got the Florentine Eggs Benedict w/ the hollandaise on the side and fruit instead of potatoes. It was good, but I was surprised that the spinach wasn’t cooked. They definitely didn’t skimp on the feta cheese which was nice. With the great service and vibe in there I would definitely go back and try something else. I saw a lot of people get pancakes and they looked amazing! Thanks for a good time 🙂

Quaint Cafe. The food was very good hot and fast service. We had breakfast the staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very clean. Reminds me of an old school diner feel. We both ordered from the winter special menu I had the chicken and waffles without honey which was very good. My wife had x Benedict on ry toast. It was very good. Breakfast potatoes were just plain which is exactly how I like them. Well cooked. Definitely would return for a good quick breakfast

Always love getting Sunday breakfast at brookwood. My wife and I spent several months when we first moved to Mercerville searching for the best “diner” in the area. After many meals at different spots Brookwood ranked the highest on our “overall experience ranking” system. (We took notes on each breakfast we had at every spot). Brookwood has an always friendly family oriented staff. Food is consistent and delicious. Service is quick. Even when it gets busy on weekend mornings we never wait very long. 5 stars!

My husband and I had such a wonderful breakfast at Brookwood Diner! We arrived between 9-9:30 AM just before the Saturday morning rush around 10am, and we’re so glad we did because it started filling up quickly after we sat down.
We ordered the Chavez Waffle and the Denise French Toast with a side of home fries, and everything was absolutely excellent. The waffle with bananas and pecans was perfectly prepared, the French toast was delicious and satisfying, and the home fries were the perfect complement to our meal. You can really tell they take pride in the quality and flavor of their food.
The service was prompt from the moment we walked in, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Even as it got busier, they stayed attentive and efficient, which made the whole experience even better.
We’ll definitely be back for another breakfast soon!

Brookwood Cafe, Hamilton – A Mixed Experience
My recent visit to Brookwood Cafe in Hamilton left me with a somewhat middling impression. Opting for the Venetian Omelet, accompanied by potatoes, rye toast and orange juice and a fruitcup, I was hoping for a standout breakfast experience, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations.
The Venetian Omelet, while sounding promising on the menu, was, to put it mildly, underwhelming. The flavors simply didn’t come together as I had hoped, and I’ve certainly enjoyed more flavorful and well-executed omelets elsewhere. It lacked that certain something that elevates a dish from ordinary to memorable. The accompanying potatoes were likewise unremarkable, neither adding nor detracting significantly from the meal. As for the orange juice, it was perfectly acceptable, but again, nothing to write home about. In sum, the food provided a functional rather than an enjoyable start to the day.
On the positive side, the service was “ok,” meaning it was neither exceptional nor particularly poor. The staff were present and did what was required, but there was no extra touch of warmth or attentiveness that makes a dining experience truly pleasant.
In conclusion, while Brookwood Cafe in Hamilton offers a casual dining option, my experience with the Venetian Omelet and overall service suggests there’s room for improvement. For those seeking a truly memorable breakfast, you might find yourself saying, as I did, “I’ve had better.” Perhaps other menu items offer a more compelling reason to visit.

Jeff I told you that you would be hearing from me about the Pastrami Reuben. Open face and LOADED. Honestly would be the BEST I’ve ever had. I was very appeased seeing that it was a Pastrami sandwich instead of the classic corned beef. Paired with the sauerkraut and Russian dressing it was SPLENDID. I see how you run your establishment and how dedicated you are. You have my respect. All the servers were so sweet too. I will be back for the sandwich as well as coffee, pancakes, desserts and pastries! I see why the parking lot is packed, this cafe is high quality!!

I have passed by Brookwood Cafe many times. I kept saying I have to go there one day. After going I am sorry I hadn’t gone sooner. While it’s unassuming atmosphere inside there is nothing unassuming about the food and the incredible service. This is a breakfast and lunch Cafe. They have a great menu of breakfast to choose from as well as lunch. The portions of the food are sizable and the quality delicious. What stuck me the most was the incredible attention to the customers. I notice through the entire Cafe (which was packed) the detail of service being given to each and everyone that was there. Customer Service and great food is the perfect combo for a repeat customer like myself. Well done

Mom and pop diner/luncheonette with Lacas coffee and affordable food. If you’re looking for fancy food, this isn’t the right spot for you. If you’re looking for simple breakfast and lunch food, friendly people, and reasonable prices, I highly recommend it.
Tip: Save money by paying cash. The credit card surcharge (3.5%) is a clear line item on the bill.

Really like this place. Have come here several times now and do plan on being a regular. Usually come on a Saturday morning and it’s modestly busy but not crazy. Came on a Sunday once and it was nuts. Food came out late and serice was absent not sure if it was a fluke that day but haven’t gone back on a Sunday since.
On Saturdays, the staff is super kind and attentive. The food is on point most of the time. There was a time my toast came out burnt or the waffle a little underdone (they were kind to fix) but every other time has been great.
The jersey eggs benedict is probably my favorite thing here. Great porkroll, the eggs come out perfectly cooked and love the hollandaise sauce on top.
Got the Kelly eggs benedict once (subbed ham with regular bacon) and that was also awesome. Fresh tomatoes, avocado, and a healthy amount of bacon with the eggs.
The pork sausage is awesome here and the fried potatoes that come with the meals are always super crispy.
Pancakes are great and also the waffles. Got the Chavez French toast once and it was good but it’s more like a dessert. Suuuuper sweet.
The hot chicken and waffles are great. Chicken comes out super crispy and juicy. The hot honey just looks like regular honey with cayenne pepper in it so not really much effort in the sauce but the chicken makes it still delicious.
Not sure what’s up with their regular syrup. It literally tastes like nothing. Barely any flavor or sweetness to it. Haven’t ever run into that anywhere else that uses the same type of high fructose corn syrup so they really went out of their way to get the worst kind lol. Basically forces people to spend $2 for the real maple syrup (pretty obvious).
Anyways like how they use Lacas coffee since it tastes great. Service def plummets when it gets busy so just avoid coming in at peak times.
