We loved this place! The vegetarian ramen was amazing and the ambience was friendly and inviting. All of the servers were great and attentive, and the drinks (cucumber ginger soda pictured) were delish. Also loved the Kale Caesar salad! Would come back again.

The food was excellent — you can really taste the care and love put into each dish. The menu is smaller, but that’s exactly what allows them to curate such high-quality food.

The drinks were also fantastic, with plenty of options to choose from.

Our server was phenomenal. She was taking care of both the inside and outside tables and still managed to be attentive, friendly, and efficient. She was fantastic

Cheers to Red Light — highly recommend!

Amazing!’ we sat at the bar and had great service. They had so many gluten free options and I loved that all their ramen could be made gluten free. My only wish is that they had a gluten free beer to accompany it! Especially since BC has so many good ones. All in all though I would go back in a heartbeat and recommend this restaurant to anyone in Nelson!

Very friendly server, super cool hole in the wall atmosphere, and delicious food!
They call it a modern take on Ramen so it isn’t as rich as typical Ramen broth, but they are thoughtful with the additions they put in and it’s very good!
Based on reviews, I would say it is an underrated spot in Nelson!

Best lunch special in town with a half bowl of Ramen and a half salad and either kombucha or a beer. Love the vibe of this spot. All the ingredients are as locally sourced as possible, and the intention behind the cocktails, and the seasonal menu is really felt and the quality of the food and drinks.

Went here for lunch and ended up with a huge meal. We ordered a bowl of ramen each — mine with extra noodles and a tamari egg — plus a pork rice bowl and a couple of the house kombuchas. All were served quickly and were delicious. Ramen was totally on point and the rice bowl was damn tasty, slightly spicy and savoury. Our server was very laid back, yet attentive.

The place had some very good pencil art on display that kept us distractedly interested.

A bit pricey, but everything was top notch great.

It’s pretty basic Ramen, noodles were a little undercooked for my liking. Also had a pork sandwich. It was OK. The place wasn’t busy at all and there was lots of seating available but the server sat me next to the wall with another group separated by a sheet of plastic. That was weird. It was a 20$ street food style meal in any medium to big city but in Nelson it’s a 60$ plus exclusive dinning experience lol. They had small bottles of Mezcal for sale by the cash register for sale, I asked how much, 40$ I was going to buy one for my gf as the brand is from her home town but I didnt want her to laugh at me for spending that much. They are 6$ in San Cristobal de la Casas. Overall not a terrible place but dont go there with high expectations.

Pretty solid. Not the best ramen I have had but very solid. Their tea lattes are very good. We had the Butternut miso pork and Tantan pork with Rose matcha and Hojicha obsidian. I definitely prefer the Tantan. The Butternut miso is slightly on the salty side. Overall a good experience and the server was nice. Would return again.
