Just WOW!!! For a little place it was busy which is always a good sign of smashing it. We booked as heard they get busy, so we didn’t want to be disappointed and we were greeted with smiles. We had a short wait for our table and had a drink at the bar and then at our table within 5 mins! Staff super friendly and amazing service. Food was epic and when we come back we will be booking again just beautiful and epic cooked food. Beef croquettes as a starter were amazing and roast epic to follow. The wife had the rice pudding for dessert and she loved it!!! EPIC WELL DONE

Had a lunch date here on Thursday.
Food was very well cooked, oysters were a hit. The pork with cauliflower, sausage and caper sauce was exceptional, a great recommendation. Wife loved the Ox cheek pie but the chirros blew her away, such a quirky, flavoursome dish. Cheese board could have done with a dollop of chutney but cheese was very good quality and a perfect end to a great meal. Service was good without being intrusive. Good value for money.

We’d walked past here a few times and it looked inviting so we decided to pop in. The interior decor is beautiful, it feels very homely. They also had a great selection of wines.

For our starters we had the whitebait and olives, main was the pork belly and fish & chips with a side of charred hispi cabbage and I had the deconstructed cheesecake.

The quality of the food is just unbelievable, it’s probably some of the best food we’ve had. That whitebait was definitely the largest and best I’ve had! The charred hispi cabbage would be good to have as a full main meal (or just order 2 or 3 portions). My friend loved her fish & chips, she said it was very tasty and crunchy.

The wine prices are also quite reasonable, not what you’d expect from a fine dining place like this so we had two bottles, both of which were nice.

Highly recommended and well worth a re-visit.

It’s highly esteemed and on the upscale side of Glasgow dining. Expect small, beautifully curated plates and an intimate atmosphere.

Service was professional and polite. Decor is classy and comforting. I’d say best for couples or groups of up to four.

Maybe lacking a truly wow factor but all round a very solid culinary experience and I’ll be back to try the Sunday lunch.

Add it to your list ✔️

The food here was incredible. The goats cheese churros and smoked mash especially stood out. Service was also great.

Not impressed. 4 Adults and one child for Sunday Lunch. We all chose the Sunday Roast…..3 choices on the kids menu…. She chose fish and chips….it was off the menu… none left at 5 pm! She chose the mac n cheese…small bowl of cheesy pasta, tepid and tasteless. No chips or veg. One scoop of vanilla ice cream.
We all agreed that the under cooked roast beef wasn’t warm and very tough such that steak knife didn’t cut it. All the sides were over cooked and lukewarm. Nice big Yorkshire Puddings again not warm.
Staff are pleasant but don’t have to work too hard for their + 12.5% gratuity added to the bill.

Excellent Sunday roast and even better hospitality from Diana. The vegetables glistened and were al dente; the roast potatoes were crispy and golden; the Yorkshire puddings were fluffy and the beef (and celereac) were delicious. Good portion sizes too. Diana was very attentive, informative and charming. It’s rare to receive hospitality like this – outside fine dining. Thanks so much

Went for Sunday lunch and not disappointed. Very busy restaurant with tables filled as soon as emptied.
Had olives to start which were lovely then the Roast Beef. Not overcooked but a bit chewy. Sides were fab especially the Yorkies, Garlic potatoes and red wine jus.
Finished with the lightest Sticky Toffee pudding I’ve ever had. Beautiful meal all in all.
Staff very efficient and friendly
Would recommend to anyone

We visited The Loveable Rogue on a Thursday lunchtime, the place was not busy when we arrived but more people came when we were eating. It’s a nice atmosphere, a lot of light but cosy, we sat in one of the booths.
We were welcome by Alex, a friendly member of the staff that talked us through the highlights of the menu for the day and suggested the right cocktails to go with the food, providing the explanation for his reasoning.
We went for crunchy oysters, Scotch eggs, white bait, lamb and potatoes with black pudding and cheese board.
I have to say that last time I had such a great food was at Michelin star grade establishment. The flavours and the textures were perfectly balanced and the attention to the presentation of the plates was clear too. Everything was enhanced by the fantastic drinks that everything was paired with. The bill came at about 60 pound each including a good tip, which I thought it was good value considering the amount and quality of the food, plus the couple of cocktails each. It’s a great place and we will definitely go back.

Been looking forward to trying the Sunday roast for a while and it did not disappoint. We were shown to our table as soon as we arrived and the staff were very friendly and service was quick. The food was delicious especially the beef and for a limited Sunday menu there was great options to choose from. It is more expensive than a typical Sunday roast but worth the money in my opinion. Perfect Sunday date day as its very cosy inside and the decor gives a relaxed atmosphere. I’d recommend booking in advance as it was really busy. Thanks for a lovely afternoon I’ll definitely visit again.
