The sandwiches are amazing and huge!!
But look, if you’ve never been there before, just know: they do things the way they do things and if you want to eat there, you go with it! The menu is enormous, and almost everything I’ve had there was delicious, but there’s NO substitutions. They will let you know when they want to take your order ♂️ Don’t push it! Be ready! If they’ve been open for any time at all they’re probably out of something. Have a backup order ready! Listen for them to call you! Be quick about it! The atmosphere reminds me of a golf club restaurant. The sandwiches are worth it! Trust!

I traveled an hour to enjoy my favorite sandwich for my birthday…came in shortly after 3pm and the guy behind the counter said I hope you want a cold sandwich because I just turned the grill off 10 minutes ago…as much as I like your sandwiches I was really upset that you turned me away on the sandwich I wanted…if your gonna be open till 4pm ..be ALL the way open!!! Just because you have some of the best sandwiches in town doesn’t mean you can choose how to treat your customers…I may never be back because of my experience today!!!

Such an amazing spot to grab lunch! Today was our first time in and we were thoroughly impressed, both by the large sandwich menu and other treats, but also with the great service! Their soups were really good and went well with their massive ruben sandwich that we ordered. I also had a slice of cherry pie for Pi Day, and it was everything I needed! All in all, highly impressed and highly recommend!

The food is outstanding but the older lady taking your money needs to improve her social skills we ate there today she called up to counter to get my order. Read it off I confirmed it we only ordered fountain water she liked over at table and said I see a bottle of tea on table. It wasn’t my order and I felt like she was accusing me of theft. When we visited this placed several years ago she was just as grumpy.

I’m going to be completely honest and hope that the company takes this advice for the betterment of a GREAT place to get some good food. The food is amazing .. but the staff are not typically friendly. It’s a little cold and unwelcoming – sometimes just plain snappy.
When someone is waiting for an extended period in line to be served, a look in their direction, a “we’ll be right with you” would be nice. Instead of standing there for some time feeling ignored.
Half a sandwich and soup available would be so helpful as the sandwiches are pretty large.

Appearently there is a cult following to this place but meh, I don’t get it. The person taking the order seemed annoyed. There’s so very little parking for how popular they are, they up charge your already expensive sandwich for toasting it…. It was a good sandwich but not for the hassle or vibe.

I always have to stop here every time I pass through Petoskey, i just love this place. Always delicious and fresh food. The sandwiches are huge, so i usually split them. This time we got Brads Best Bet corned beef sandwich and minestrone soup. Both were delicious!!
