Honest Thoughts
This place was okay. I’m gonna assume I came in on an off day because it was dead central in here. Our waiter was very nice though. The food was okay. It was one of those places where they have so many options, but lots of it is the same thing or there is a very slight difference. I went with a party of 5 and only one person liked what they got which was the fajitas, but everyone else was pretty neutral. The alcohol would be the only thing I go back for if I ever did.

We walked past the place the night before and it looked interesting. We decided to come back and try it. We read the menu before coming and we’re excited about the fresh food. The cerviche was excellent and the shrimp too. I wasn’t as impressed with the mixed fajitas , beef and chicken, I would recommend sticking with the fresh seafood options . We will definitely come back .

My dining experience, in any restaurant, always starts and ends with service. From the greeting when you enter someone’s establishment, then on to the seating, then food, then atmosphere. The only good experience I had was in the phone conversation I had when I called to see if they were open for business. And, yes, the doors were open, but that is also where it ends.
And so will I.

Very delicious chicken fajitas, rice and beans! Their roasted salsa is unique and has great flavor. Enchiladas are good but I prefer enchiladas with more sauce. When you walk in there is a sign that lets you know that service may be slow due to limited staff. When we arrived, we were the only ones there. You can tell some of the staff are burnt out. I’ve experienced this at many restaurants lately. It’s sad how overworked the people are who have continued to run a business or work hard during Covid, making it difficult to fake a smile at times.

The sauce on the “Pollo a La Diabla” was ketchup based and terrible. The portion for nearly $20 was small and flavorless. Veggies in the fajita burrito were not cooked well. Servers were cold and could hardly get them to look you in the eye or smile. They weren’t busy at the time we went in but we still only got checked on once after getting our meal and it was mainly just to give us the check. Will not return.

My new favorite place for Mexican food while in Roseburg, Oregon.

In my opinion, I felt the food was a bit more authentic than your average place

In this photo I had the lunch combination number two. (Sopas)

If you’re looking for spicy, I would suggest you request their extra spicy salsa… It’s only available upon request… But let me warn you it has a kick!

You know a place is good when most of the tables are full and it’s only 5 pm. The fire roasted salsa were the first indication that the food is anything but ordinary. I ordered the pork tamales, which came with the obligatory beans rice, two side dishes I typically ignore. The rice was fresh, light, and fluffy – perfectly cooked – and not drowning in tomato sauce or doused in cheese. The beans were so good that I found myself scooping them up with the chips. The tamales were generously portioned and very tasty. My only complaint, if you will, was they were not quite warm enough. My husband was impressed with his fajita burrito and vowed to return.

The roasted chili salsa was awesome and my rellenos were as well. A good place for Mexican food.

The veggie nachos were fresh and fabulous but it’s the black bean sauce/ salsa that they serve with the chips that blew me away! I’ve eaten in a lot of Mexican restaurants and can say, without a doubt, it’s the best I’ve ever had! Now, the woman who appears to be in charge of the bar area, where we were sitting, seemed a little stern, but it’s not the biggest deal when you’re eating the delicious food. The waiter was so friendly, it was a direct inverse of the lady in charge.
