WOW! What a great meal! We started off with the arancini balls, which were simply to die for. They were crisp and also soft and gooey with cheese. It was simply delicious and the best arancini I have ever had. They were just incredible. I will struggle to get another appetizer when this is on the menu.

My shrimp scampi risotto was also amazing. The sauce had the perfect ratio of butter and garlic, and it paired so well with the freshly cooked shrimp. The sauce you see on the plate was also good. The placement of it was a little weird for me, but it was delicious all the same.

My partner’s goat cheese salad was a little lackluster. I think the name of the dish was a bit wrong, as the goat cheese was not very prominent. That being said, it was a great salad with many things going on. I think I will try to copy that dressing at home.

The only real issue we had was the service; it was okay – the guy seemed disappointed that we were not ordering drinks. (We really don’t drink, and we were not in the mood last night) The server also elected not to write our order down, and thus had to come back and ask me what I ordered, after he had already left the table with the order the first time. But, it was okay- worse has happened, and we had a delicious meal, so we will be back!

I went there for my Birthday. A friend of mine had recommended me this place and I’m so glad I went, the food was phenomenal it passed my expectations. The food felt fresh and my family love d it. The service is 10 out of 10, I forgot his name but he was very polite and he was able to go over every question I had about a dish. I will definitely come back to this place!

Haven’t been here in years, but do not know why- it’s excellent! From specialty cocktail “gin & jam” to main courses “shrimp risotto” … others’ dishes were also terrific. We will be back!

I’ve given this place a few tries. The first visit was great—good ambiance, service, and food. The second time was just okay. My most recent visit, however, was disappointing.

I went solo and sat at the bar. The hostess was friendly, but that was the only moment of hospitality I experienced. After sitting for several minutes, the bartender wordlessly dropped the menus in front of me while continuing a lengthy conversation with a visibly intoxicated patron a few seats down. Throughout my visit, the bartender seemed entirely focused on a group of regulars, leaving my half-made drink sitting for over five minutes—twice. I felt invisible, sitting in the middle of the bar, completely ignored.

The eggplant parmesan was beautifully cooked and presented, but it lacked seasoning and was very bland. Even extra sauce didn’t help much, and I left most of it uneaten. When someone dropped off the marinara, they didn’t acknowledge me at all. No talking, not looking at me, just another oddly cold interaction.

I can see the charm and potential in this place, and the bartender is clearly charismatic with the regulars. But for me, it felt unwelcoming and exclusive. As someone who enjoys meeting new people and making conversation, I was surprised by how out of place I felt. We likely won’t be back anytime soon—unless our friends that frequent QB twist our arm.

Fantastic service and incredible food. Wasn’t too loud either. We ordered a bunch of stuff and all the appetizers and desserts were wonderful! Everybody also loved their entrees.

The atmosphere is really nice and chill. I tried a few things from the menu and the wait was not long at all. Once the food arrived I was excited because it all looked GREAT….I tasted it and was almost immediately disappointed. The more the I ate the more disappointed I got. I thought maybe I was coming down with a cold or something that threw my taste buds off but I was indeed fine it was the un-barely-seasoned food. I was really hoping this place would knock it out the park but it left me desiring more. It’s not all bad though, the pizza was good and I would recommend for sure.

Wendy from the bar area is on her wine game, ask what she has up her sleeve. Also great service. The food here is about 4 stars and service 5. Everything was great, sauces were done nicely and meatballs were spot on. The price was right and between service and price, we will be bringing the family back for a meal sometime.

Classier and pricier than a neighborhood red sauce joint but more modestly priced than Cibo, Quanto Basta is a solid option that unfortunately falls into the “looks better than it is” category. The downtown location is convenient, and the restaurant offers an attractive, intimate space. However, the acoustics and table placement are such that it can get loud when it’s near capacity. As Quanto Basta doesn’t do reservations, your best bet is to arrive early.

The menu here is short but well-rounded. It features salads, antipasti/appetizers, pasta dishes, entrees, and pizzas. Your classics (caprese, spaghetti and meatballs, eggplant parm, etc.) are accounted for, but you can also opt for the less expected such as parmesan and pork belly crab dip or short ribs with gnocchi, charred carrots, and tomato jam. The wine and drink offerings are similarly versatile.

Our group of four went with caprese and focaccia al forno starters and then shared stuffed peppers parmesan, eggplant parmesan, sausage & clams, and baked ziti with meatballs, followed by a tiramisu trifle for dessert.

We didn’t have long to wait for the food – service here is attentive and efficient – and the caprese was beautifully plated. However, it could have benefitted from salt. Flavors in general were understated even in dishes that were otherwise well-composed and satisfying. The sausage & clams came with a delicious hunk of herby focaccia, which QB would do well to offer as a side. Tiramisu in trifle form (layered inside a mason jar) is a concept whose novelty exceeds its practicality. It tasted great (if you like mocha), but by the time we got to the bottom, everything was soggy.

Quanto Basta’s menu and décor are winners, but the food itself was a mixed bag. I wouldn’t rule out a return here though it wouldn’t be at the top of my list.

I went for a dinner with my family the other weekend and I can’t say enough good things about Quanto Basta! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with the perfect balance of lively energy and cozy charm. The staff goes above and beyond—friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to make sure you have a great experience.

The food is absolutely outstanding. Every dish feels fresh, authentic, and crafted with care. The pasta is perfectly cooked, the sauces are rich and flavorful, and the portions are generous without being over the top. Their pizzas have that perfect balance of crispy crust and fresh toppings, and the cocktails and wine list tie everything together beautifully.

The food at Quanto Basta is incredible, but what really makes it special is the staff. Everyone is so friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Easily one of the best dining experiences in Winston-Salem!
