I had lunch at bartaco with my friend on Sunday. They don’t take reservations and the place is usually crowded but we were in luck on Sunday and were seated immediately. I had multiple tacos including shrimp, meat and pork. My favorite is the shrimp one. I would have preferred more filling in the tacos instead of just the meat with onion. Otherwise, the service is great and the prices are very fair.

Went on Friday night around 8pm. Was too long of a wait for us so we ordered takeout. James helped us and phenomenal I don’t think I’ve ever had such good service when getting takeout. He was attentive and kept us updated on the status of our order he even offered me water while we waited. The place was packed and there was obviously a huge rush going on so it was awesome that he took the time with us. I’m told it’s easier to get a table on Sunday’s or earlier in the evening before dinner rush
I had the duck barria which I was so excited to try, and got cucumber salad. My partner went with an assortment of tacos, not sure which ones because she devoured most before I could even snap a pic. We also got the appetizer sampler. She loved the esquires and plantains. 10/10 would recommend and I excited to find time to sit down and be able to try some of their bar options

Great value backed by surprising flavor combinations. The pork tamale was great and so were the plantains. I was genuinely surprised by some of the tacos, specifically the brussels sprouts, shrimp, and oyster tacos.

Bartaco is a good addition to the neighborhood. Their food is generally fairly decent. The fried plantain and chips are good complements to the tacos. Our favorite tacos are the duck, tuna, and shrimps. The rice bowls are fine, portion is small.
The place has a relaxing family vibe. Service is friendly and efficient although, often times, we have had to wait awhile for the host to seat us even when the place is not crowded and has lots of unreserved empty tables.
They always encourage us to use their app to order but the app doesn’t work that well. It’s hard to get everyone to put their own orders in especially when you have a large party. When the app has an issue with the ordering, you won’t know that until you’ve each entered the items that you want, wasting time. I suggest to just order with server. The downside is all the tacos are mixed up when served, so you need to remember what you ordered and not eat someone else’s.

As #fate would have it, a dear friend said to me, “There’s a new restaurant I want to try. It’ll be my treat!”
“My treat” piqued my interest.
She said, It’s called #BarTaco.”
Squinting my eyes, I replied ‘Okay.’
Unbeknownst to her, I had recently been disappointed with #BarTaco; however, I did not want to ruin her excited anticipation so I bit my tongue.
As she and I strolled into #BarTaco, we were greeted by the same beckoning #Nantucket #Marthasvineyard EuroAsian aesthetic and gracious staff as #Fenway #BarTaco.
Because my dear friend knows I love #keylimepie, she suggested that we be Europeans, and have dessert first!
While we awaited the #keylimepie and #churros to arrive, my dear friend ordered two shots of #BarTaco’s #Libélulatequila ❤️ that our server recommended.
The #keylimepieinajar was lips-smacking, eyes-rolling, and toes-curling scrumptious!
I ordered two #mojoporkcarnitas and two #searedchorizo tacos.
My dear friend ordered two #searedchorizo and two #chickenverde tacos.
We enjoyed the #mojoporkcarnitas, #searedchorizo tacos, and #chickenverde tacos, but did not like the texture of the soft taco with the food.
Nonetheless, our meal and experience were so wonderful that they remedied my previous experience with #BarTaco. I never told my dear friend about it.
Subsequently today, I decided to use the five #freetacotokens at Brookline #BarTaco that were given to me at #Fenway #BarTaco.
I ordered one #roastedduck taco, two #falafel tacos, and two #ahitunatatako tacos, #guacamole, and #keylimepieinajar.
AWESOME manager Tim accommodated my wish to have hard shell tacos with my meal not soft shell by giving me complimentary chips!!
Tim’s world-class service, and #BarTaco’s DELECTABLE cuisine have earned my patronage, for life.
#BarTaco is the #best restaurant in #Boston for experiencing a 21st century twist of international flavors in their tacos and drinks!

I enjoy going to Bar Taco because they offer a unique “cabbage taco” option — instead of a traditional hard shell, you can get your taco wrapped in cabbage, which is a nice lighter alternative. The regular tacos are also delicious. They have a great variety, from classic chicken and beef to more elevated options like lobster and tuna.
That said, the service can be hit or miss. They’re always incredibly busy, so I understand the occasional slip-up, but there tends to be at least one issue each time I go. For example, I once realized after leaving that they didn’t serve me the tuna taco I ordered — but still charged me for it.
Still, the food is tasty, the vibe is great, and the prices are reasonable. I’ll keep going back.

Had a wonderful meal with a party of 6 last night. We were greeted with positivity that they would find a table quickly for us. The food was spectacular. So flavorsome. I had the Chicken Verde Bowl. So fresh with such great flavors. Loved the salsa too. Portions were perfect too. We had a gluten free friend whom they catered perfectly for, including a delicious gluten free plantain desert which we shared. Definitely will be back.Thanks.
