I called again and did they refunded my money. So service in the building was kind, but this is the second time in a row that the pizza took forever to get to us. I dont know if I’ll order again.
So I called the store and told them I was missing all of the marinara cups. The guy on the line looked up my name and said, yeah you had 5. I said yes, but there are none. He then tells me that that is because they ran out of the marinara cups in the morning…
So I asked why would they tell the door dasher the cups were in the boxes if they were out? There was some stunned silence before he said, “usually the door dashers don’t speak english.” So were they hoping the door dasher wouldn’t be able to tell me what they said? What kind of idiotic comment is that?
He offered to refund the price of the marinara cups. I said I wanted a refund on the marinara cups and the cheese sticks since thats what they were for. He said ok and told me I would be refunded the price of the cheese sticks and cups.
Turns out they never refunded me any of it. I will not be back.
I did the usual app order with an estimated delivery time of 30 minutes. That’s normal, no big deal. Twenty six minutes after I ordered I got a text saying my Door Dash order from Marco’s would be delivered twenty two minutes later. It wasn’t disclosed during ordering that Door Dash would be delivering my food. I’m not excited to receive a pizza that has been sitting waiting for a third party to pick up for delivery. I’m especially angry about the extra amount of time it’s taking. I ordered around 4:15 pm, well before the dinner rush.
If this is how their pizzas will be delivered, I’m done with Marcos.
Between the different style of pizza sauce, as well the weird cheese taste. It just wasn’t edible for me or my kid. However the crust was the worst! It reminded me of Domino’s in the 90’s, we all remember what cardboard taste like right?
The cheese sticks were supposed to be my favorite part. but I just can’t get past the strange taste it left, and I really didn’t enjoy the bread.
We also had the cinnasticks with chocolate sauce. I think this was the only thing I did enjoy. because I used them for French toast the next day, still not a fan of the crust though.
All in all it was a good deal, to try this brands take on pizza. I think I’ll stick with Wasatch pizza or Papa John’s, for the foreseeable future of my next orders of pizza.
I would love to try this brand again. If and when they relaunch the brand or menu. but I am not a fan of spicy pizza sauce and skimpy amounts of cheese and toppings.
I asked for garlic Parmesan crust… and didn’t receive it after being rudely told they don’t have a rosemary Parmesan. I’ll make sure to place a corporate complaint and yelp, and honestly whatever else I need to get this person to change their attitude. Thank god for the other employees there, it was much better a year ago
i’m so appreciative that marco’s offers a cauliflower crust, i have to carefully manage my blood sugar and having a low-carb option is amazing. i also tried the pizza bowl as another low-carb option and it was honestly delicious! i didn’t expect to enjoy it so much
Update: ordered again to see if they got better. And they have not. Order took over 45 minutes to arrive. And the driver marked it delivered well before showing up to my house. I was about to call the manager when she arrived. Pizza was cold and one i do not know what they did. It was cut many different ways like a 2 year old was cutting the pizza. Not sure what happened to this place. Went down hill so fast.
Preface: I am NOT AGAINST tipping food places, BUT after regularly getting Marco’s for the past few months I’ve experimented a little bit. (This is not a sit down restaurant where you get waited on) It seems that if you don’t leave a good tip the quality goes down significantly. (I order 1 to 2 times a week and tip pretty well 3 out of 4 times we come) We essentially order the same thing every time. This time we paid to get 3 sauce cups and only received 1, and our pizza had hardly any toppings on it. But when I’ve tipped well, we get the amount that should be on the pizza normally, along with all of our sauce cups.
I understand its a pizza joint and am not expecting perfection but getting noticeably worse quality on lesser tipped orders is sad and leads me to want to order elsewhere.
Original review: The pizza was great! As it usually is. Ordered online and chose the ‘curbside pick-up’ option. The pizza was ready, and I arrived and checked in online and sat and waited for over 5 minutes after arriving and decided to just go inside the store. It wasn’t busy, and no one was in line, so I’m not sure what happened there. Good food, but I recommend just going inside instead of waiting for them to bring it to you. 5 extra minutes of my food losing it’s heat and freshness.
