Never seen a Japanese waitress so frosty and unfriendly. There is literally nothing you can do to get a smile out of her. It really spoils the whole experience! And i saw her laughing with the chef, so she does actually have the capacity to move those facial muscles!The food is fine. Basic, but fresh and nice. But the atmosphere is unfriendly and doesn’t make you want to return.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Here is the way she handed over our takeaway! No smile. No Grazie. Did not even look in my son’s direction when handing over our food. Please change the name of your shop as it is misleading, as ieie means ‘you are welcomed’. At no time did we feel welcomed. This lady refused to try to understand english or speak japanese even when my wife tried to used a few japanese words (we are not japanese) to hopefully help her understand our order.
The salmon sashimi was mushy (we consumed it within 10mins of purchase), and certainly does not deserve the high rating.

The restaurant owner seems to accept customers based on racial preference. Our family waited 60 minutes near the area because we were excited for sushi after a week in Italy. As we walked in the owner stated they did not have “space.” We were the only customers there at 7. It appears he did not want to serve guests based on racial appearance, or possibly guests with children. When confronted about why he wouldn’t seat us, in Japanese, he became uncomfortable and gave us a business card. No business should treat customers this way in 2024.

We are visiting Florence and for a change of food pace looked for casual sushi dining near the La Croce neighborhood. What a gem this restaurant is! Small and casual interior, no frills, small menu, extremely fresh fish. The Matcha tiramisu was a delightful way to end a delicious lunch. Highly recommend!

I ordered a Kirin beer, they charged me 6euros for that under category ‘Sushi Vario (various sushi). I find it hard to believe they don’t have a category for beer for their point of sales system, and it is hard to not wonder if they ripped me off because I am a tourist.

Living here six years and eating sushi all over I can easily say it’s the Best sushi I’ve had in Florence. The menu is small but that’s because everything is done perfectly.

I visited this restaurant at lunch time and there was a Japanese shop holder working. So the food was cooked with completely real Japanese style. If you don’t get satisfied with odd taste, I highly recommend to go there.
