When ordering specifically ask if chicken in the fried rice breast. My husband was told yes. He ordered chicken & shrimp fried rice- what he got was chicken thigh meat with 2 shrimp in a big container of rice. When he took it back they said breast would cost more & only 2 shrimp?!!! I ordered eggplant w/1/2 fried rice & chow mein.. eggplant was overcooked, noodles & rice had no flavor and was VERY GREASY.. paid $60 with an appetizer which was good except the foil chicken.

We started going here regularly before COVID and then took a break and we’ve been back the past couple of months. The food is very good and the servings are very generous. We love the staff, they’re very nice people. They will treat you like family. Try the soups..

I’ve given this place more chances than I should have, but enough is enough. I order the same dish regularly, and every single time, the price is different. No explanation, no updated menu, just an inconsistent number thrown at me when I go to pay. It’s frustrating, unprofessional, and frankly feels dishonest. I like to support local businesses, but I also expect transparency and consistency especially when nothing on my order changes. Sadly, I won’t be coming back. Plenty of other Chinese restaurants around that respect their customers and their own menu.

The food in this restaurant is terrible, especially the Mongolian beef. I ordered Mongolian beef, but what was served was more than half rice and a small amount of Mongolian beef. In the end, I didn’t finish the rice. The beef was very dry and hard. So I will never go to this restaurant again.

I’ve been a loyal customer here since childhood, but the experience has taken a sharp downturn. Prices continue to rise while the restaurant itself hasn’t been updated in decades the interior is outdated, it’s hard to see where all that revenue is going. I’m also not sure why each time I enter they seem annoyed and all look at each other and speak in their language. Even worse, the prices are different each time even though I order the same thing most of the time. One of my go-to dishes is the Hunan Beef with extra onions; twice now I’ve been charged for the onions without receiving them. When I politely pointed this out, the server laughed and walked away leaving me embarrassed.
I’m saddened to let this place go, but the recent customer service, rising prices, inconsistent charges, and even rumors of roaches have driven me away. I truly hope they address these issues. If you cared about your customers you would do better.

This place is a hidden gem of cuisine in Hayward; don’t let the small-scale decor fool you! The food is fantastic, the staff is very friendly and puts their love into everything, and the prices are great! They even have family meals that scale based on how many people you order for! Love this restaurant!

Ordered 3 plates of food and a side and was charged 90 bucks. Food is way overpriced and honestly not that great. They serve better Chinese food at Frankie’s on mission and it’s way cheaper. I’m always supportive of small businesses but these people are ripping people off.

This delicious food is packed full in these containers, the friendly staff is very helpful and had our food done in about 15 minutes. It is a bit pricer than some other places but they give you great portions for the price! They also have quite a few vegetarian/vegan options as well which is nice.
