The staff is incredible, the environment is classy but cozy, and the lavender espresso martini is worth the sip Brunch is always delicious, but I can’t wait to come back for dinner!
It was a Wednesday, and we arrived a little before noon. There were a few other people there, some at the bar and others at the small tables. The place is a little loud, with lots of hard surfaces and music playing. We were greeted by a very friendly server, who seemed to be doing pretty much everything except the cooking.
There are a couple of different burgers on the menu, but we all went with the Duck Fat Burger. It is a one-third pound patty, cooked to order. My medium-rare came out exactly as I like it. The combination of caramelized onion, cheese, and thousand island was well balanced. The bun was nicely grilled, and the crunch lasted through the entire meal. The French fries were hot and flavorful, with a very crusty exterior and a soft inner texture. I talked to the cook, who let me in on the secret, they double fry them.
With the exception of the noise level, it was an excellent burger experience. The service was very good (thanks, Jessica). I will definitely be coming back again.
*Update*
Went back yesterday again and ordered their seasonal dish, cauliflower steak in a brothy couscous. Scrumptious!! Bright and savory with a splash of citrus. Perfect balance of flavors. I could eat this all day long. I ordered some wings as well. Tasty!
Very friendly and prompt service. They definitely know what they are doing there.
