Recently a friend bought me some gf treats from here and it was so yummy I needed to go check the actual bakery. The gluten free selection is incredible and so many beautiful items to choose from. I highly recommend the Budapest roll slice.

The cake we ordered was horrible. Looked completely different from what they show online. It looked undone and it tasted so too. We paid $80+ for it.
First picture is what they show online vs what we got. It tasted horrible!!! We ended up throwing it. Waste of money and our time.

Such a great stop! They pack a lot of variety into a small space. Wonderful selection of breads, pastries, and patisseries, served with a nice pour over coffee. They also had some yummy looking food options we didn’t try but would go back for. Good service with some seating inside and outside. Prices were fair for well made fresh goods!

Krown made a princess torte cake for my girlfriend’s birthday and it absolutely rocked the house!! Gorgeous and delicious. My girlfriend had wanted one of these cakes for a long time so the stakes were high and they completely delivered.

One word to describe Krown Bakery: scrumptious!
We have tried so many treats and love every single one. The cinnamon rolls, vanilla kringles, the apple coffee cake, fantastic. Not to mention their limgonberry treats! So amazing.
Besides the delicious food, the service is always outstanding. Take the time to stop at Krown. You will not be disappointed.

This place is honestly a GEM. I rarely ever go to Anoka, but I actively seek this place out on my cheat days! You can tell that the ingredients they use are high quality. The people are always super friendly and I have never had a bad experience.
As for their product…Let me just say that I went as soon as they opened and I had a fresh Stockholm (pic 1 & 2), and that was LEGENDARY.
Anyways I am glad I gave this place a chance and you should too!
Things I recommend:
1. Stockholm, especially if its fresh! (If you love cream filled desserts)
2. Lemon Delight (They don’t hold back that yummy lemon taste)
For those wondering what each pic is:
1. Stockholm
2. Stockholm Interior
3. Raspberry Almond Delight
4. Almond Twisty
5. Lemon Delight, Stockholm, and Semla

I really enjoy the products at Krown and went by there this morning in the hopes of treating my family with some of your delicious pastries. I was greeted with a sign in the window that you were closed in “solidarity” with your small business friends. I’m not here to defend ICE and I personally find what happened in Minneapolis to be reprehensible because any loss of life is tragic. However what struck me is that this only adds to the devisiveness in our community and unnecessarily politicizes what should have been an enjoyable experience for me and my family. I find it sadly ironic that you are closing your business, losing revenue, thinking that you are protesting the government. You’re doing to yourself what that very same government did to small businesses by crushing them and forcing them to close during Covid! They did this in large part so they could protect big corporations and their billionaire “donor class” and create a massive wealth transfer upward from the middle class like you. How is it that over 500 NEW billionaires were created during Covid?? Leaving out the horrific human trafficking aspect of an open border policy, it is obvious that the “donor class” and oligarchs want cheap labor! The Business Roundtable and Chamber of Commerce all love cheap labor. It is a fact that unfettered imigration lowers wages for all Americans and big business wants that to squeeze out their competition. So is that what you support? Or is it just an ICE issue? Unfortunately people can’t discern the difference and your messaging doesn’t either. I just don’t understand it. The term “useful idiot” describes someone manipulated to further a cause without realizing it. People need to reflect on how they’re being played. It’s a free country (for now) and I fully support and respect your right to operate your business as you see fit. But maybe you should step back and see if what you’re doing really makes any sense or helps in a tangible way. Please don’t get sucked into the PsyOp. Our government has this all down to a science!

Incredible Swedish baked goods, many gluten free. I was lucky enough to grab a slice of princess cake (which they typically only make on special occasions). Creamy, almond goodness in every bite, and gluten free. The Budapest roll, fruit tangy mixed with cream rolled in meringue, I mean do I need to say more? Oh, and gluten free! We also tried the matrix bar, better than a Twix; almond cookies; cup cake. It’s probably good that it’s located in Anoka, and I’m not! I would definitely have a problem with self-control!
Located in a strip mall for easy parking. And staff are awesome and happy to give product details if needed.

Their bakery is so yummy! Get there early if you have a specific item you want. Everything sells out by the time they close.

I honestly can’t believe I haven’t reviewed them sooner! I thought I had and could have added a dozen more pictures. I discovered this amazing bakery about 5 years ago when up here for hockey. We have since gone out of our way every time we are back in MN for hockey. We have gone before and after their renovations. Each time we go it’s better than the last and I honestly don’t know how that is even possible. This trip I walked out with over a dozen pastries, bread, cookies and even grabbed soup for later! Be careful, it is hard to control yourself in there!! They use only the finest and most fresh ingredients, you will never find anything as amazing as their baked goods. The staff is always so friendly and they are so patient as I go through slowly picking our treats. I wish we had anything even remotely as delicious as this in Chicago. Good news for us, we have three trips to MN this hockey season!!
Addendum: just wanted to confirm that after all theses years, Krown bakery is still the best bakery in MN and still just as amazing as the first time I tried them. Each hockey trip demands a stop here and today didn’t disappoint! Places come and go or lose their luster. Not Krown, they stand by their ingredients and mission. Delicious!!!
