I had an incredible experience tonight at The Lucky Grouse.
I walked in and told them it was my first time and asked them to take the lead.
I requested that they pair the food, choose the wines, and show me what they’re all about. They absolutely delivered.
They started me with a fresh, beautifully balanced salad paired with a fantastic white wine. Then came an outstanding pizza matched with a red wine that complemented it perfectly.
Every course was thoughtful, well-crafted, and full of flavor. You can tell the people behind this place really care about what they’re doing.
Great food, great wine, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy the experience. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in.

a real gem of a place ! pizza was delicious and our party especially appreciated a dairy-free option. we did takeout because we didn’t realize dine-in was an option, but the atmosphere while we were waiting was lovely. expect a wait while tyler and sean figure it out and bring on help, but know that your pizza was prepared with love by a rag-tag dynamic duo. it was great reading about where each ingredient was sourced on the lucky grouse substack!

Highly recommend a trip to Lucky Grouse! This was my second visit, the first time was for take out. The pizza is spectacular and I have been blown away by everything on the menu I have tried. As a vegetarian in the valley, it’s so nice to find a place that has multiple items to choose from, like the Marinara as well as the Margherita and Fungi. My friend had the pepperoni and the pepperoni picante, and the fact that they use Ferndale Farmstead cheese for their scamorza and mozzarella is insanely rare. We both thought the crust was unreal and the topping ingredients were incredibly special from a “supporting local” perspective. Can’t wait to see what they do next!

Run, ski, bike, whatever, just don’t walk or sleep on this place! I am so excited for it. These fine folks reopened a nouveaux classic (and classy) space and take their crafts – of pizza making, beverage curation, and dining experience – seriously. The fungi pizza is one of the best I’ve tried, and I eat a lot of fungi pizzas.

We can’t recommend this place enough. Our margherita and fungi pizzas and arugula salad were fresh, locally sourced deliciousness. The dessert cookie was a delight. The dining room has a nice ambiance and everyone is very helpful and friendly. Congratulations to Sean and Tyler!
