Reviews
We started with the calamari, definitely not the best I’ve had but didn’t regret ordering it by any means. The complimentary bread was good dipped in olive oil.
One of the employees recommended I get the Salsicce E Friarielli Pizza, he told me to hold the Fondue and add shaved Parmesan. This was the star of the show as I really enjoyed it.
As for dessert, the cheese cake was actually quite good. However, for $16 it was comically small.
Overall, I liked this place enough to try their other locations in NYC & see how they compare. I should also note that the NJ location was BYO with no corkage fee as of 1/16/26. I saw conflicting information about this online.
It’s not the best Pizza that I had in my life, but worth to spend $20-$25 for each pie. We will definitely go again. You also might want to ask server to go easy on salt.
Bread: 10/10

Pizza Porcini 10/10 (Please put a little more mushroom)
Thank you!
The staff is hospitable and caring, and the food is amazing; it’s no surprise that they have become popular in such a short span of time. Understandably, in a small, adorable, and traditional-looking place, they can only accommodate a limited number of people at once to ensure every customer leaves fed, happy and satisfied without feeling rushed. It is disappointing to see some reviews here that took the effort not to appreciate the value this place brings to Rutherford and NJ but instead complain about the limited time they have with their reservations during peak hours. Honestly, this validates how wonderful and popular this place is.
Hands down, this is an authentic Italian place managed by genuine, hospitable and welcoming people. Huge shoutout to Omar and the entire staff who embody the values this place holds, always with a smile on their face.
A special mention: I visit with family members who have dairy and nut allergies, and everyone is fed inclusively from starters to mains to dessert. They always make something safe and delicious for all of us.
If you are looking for authentic Italian food that leaves you satisfied and welcomed, this is your go-to place, like it has been mine. 10/10 recommend
The burrata was EXCELLENT! Probably the best I’ve had. The entrees were good. I had the pizza and thought it was okay, the undercarriage was completely floppy, which I’m not a fan of, so I had to use my fork and knife to eat it. The toppings were good and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. The pizza crust was great. The dessert was also excellent. I’ll definitely be back!
Buffalo Mozzerella. Ah, so good. For anyone that hasn’t tried mozzarella made from Buffalo milk, you can trust this place to serve some. Richer and creamier, it’s nice to munch on. Their bread and olive oil that is complimentary, perfect soak up action match made in heaven.
Grilled Octopus special. Any octopus lover will be in for a treat. Served hot, crispy onions pair well with a tender octopus (great cooking yielded amazing texture) and sweet squash mashed to enhance flavor.
A definite and . It’s worth going back.
