Maybe I just ordered the wrong item? I was VERY disappointed! I ended up ordering the BBQ duck & the cheese wantons. The wantons were great! The duck on the other hand…was hard to choke down. They gave me mostly bone, fat & charcoal. Only one leg that had, very little meat. They hid a bunch of burned pieces, with just bone under the fat pieces, to make it look like, I got a lot of food. Never again! My friend ended up ordering the sweet and sour pork, which was decent, but wouldn’t order again. Tsingtao beer, I would compare to Heineken. Willing to give this place another try.

This place is a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is confusing, but all that is forgotten once the food arrives. The walnut shrimp is amazing, plump and beautifully cooked. Bacon fried rice actually contained enough bacon to earn its name. Wonton soup was steaming upon arrival and continued to stay hot as we served up our food. Wontons are perfect! Not overly crunchy or oily. The pandemic hit this place hard and it’s sad to see it getting lost within the fast food restaurants that surround it. Would love to see business begin to grow again, so sushi can hit as hard as its pictures! Don’t be discouraged when you walk through the doors, take a seat and enjoy this hidden gem before it’s gone.

Place is always empty. Sketchy staffing. Tried to schedule a group dinner. Had to preorder ahead of time. Sorry. It was not that msny people to justify that. Paper over the windows.

Place was empty and looked like it was closed when I walked in. Tables by the windows were lined up end to end with no chairs. The bar had no equipment or chairs to sit. I was seated in a side room that had a view.

Tables were dirty. Glass top had been wiped down but under the glass was dirty. The tables have crome siding on the edge and were filthy, finger prints and food smudges on every table. Under the tables looked as though they had not been cleaned in years. Window with the view was dirty inside. Outside no big deal but the inside should be clean. * I ordered a glass of water. The glass was dirty as well *, not surprised by that.
I chose to eat here because it appeared they had sushi. The menu picture and review pictures showed sushi. * THERE IS NO SUSHI ON THE MENU * The menu appears to be more takeout oriented now compared to previous reviews.

I went to Taste Wei after seeing a review that had posted online a few months ago. It was on my list of places to try and, because I was alone, I decided to try it. When I entered the restaurant I was greet quickly and seated immediately. The staff was pleasant and made me feel very comfortable. However, the food was not as good as I expected. The rice in my sushi was a bit hard and the slices of salmon had ice in them. As it was prepared quickly it made me wonder if the rice was old. Although the vegetables rolls were good, I was disappointed by the sushi. In a hurry, I ate what I ordered and left. Perhaps other dishes are better there but I can’t say because I didn’t try them. All I can say is that I won’t eat sushi here again.

It is such a shame to see such a beautiful and regal restaurant fall victim to the pandemic. This restaurant is certainly unexpectedly phenomenal! The hostess is very polite and timely on seating and taking orders.
The food was outstanding! We had the “Sushi Regular” which is certainly enough to share, but I don’t like sharing high quality food like this. So we ordered two and at $17.50 each the bill was only $40!!! This has been the most affordable, fresh and highest quality nigiri I’ve ever had. Absolutely the best in the Poulsbo area, possibly Kitsap county. The portion was large and the ingredients were on point. I cannot convey enough just how fresh it was and how well it was made.
We had a wonderful view out on our window booth, however I think that the view inside is more astounding. There were things moved around I’m assuming from the pandemic but if one really looks into the ambiance, it is really captivating. 5 stars around! I just have one complaint. There were not enough people there. This is a restaurant that should be packed. It was rather odd to sit so quietly enjoying such great food.

Our table had nice view. Waitress was really nice and friendly. The food was great and with good sized portions. We had the happy family, beef chow fun, and roast duck fried rice.

Order 3 rolls and tempora oysters services was amazing and the rolls were so good that I ordered a forth roll and the staff had no issue of staying open an extra 40 mins to make the extra roll and for let us savor every bite truly grateful. Also the inside is very nice decor definitely a good place for a date night
