Love this place. Classic pub with a relaxed environment and some of the friendliest staff around. Ed the server took care of us, and his hospitality and customer service skills are top notch. He goes above and beyond to ensure you have a superior experience and leave happy. Barefoot Peddler has one of the best burgers on Long Island and I highly recommend. It hits the spot every time. Overall a fantastic local spot that delivers on great food and warm and gracious hospitality.

My now wife and I have come here EVERYTIME we see a show at the tilles center. We are NEVER disappointed. Tonight was no exception, our server was Kyle, a young man whose worked 3 DOUBLE shifts in a row, he was attentive, polite, fun. My steak was perfect and much tastier than a well known place nearby. Honestly though KYLE was the highlight of our night.

Honestly I wish I could have given this place a better review but the food was cold. It took an hour to come out after appetizers. The rice was boxed and cold. Not to mention to credit card processing fee. Don’t come here if you want good food or fast service.

I went there based on a recommendation and I’m happy I did. I went with some friends and we ordered some apps. There was nothing left over; each plate cleaned. The food tasted amazing. No one hand any complaints. The atmosphere was welcoming. Friendly staff with a smile. And I loved all of the fun signs on the walls and the decor. Definitely will go back next time I’m on the area.

Charming bar with juicy burgers, good beers on tap, and friendly bartenders. I frequently pass by this location driving on Glen Cove Rd and decided to stop in for a quick dinner. I ordered the Mexican Burger with guac, pico de gallo and pepper jack cheese and whoaaaaaa. Extremely juicy burger that was cooked to perfection coupled with great toppings. 10/10 dining experience

Let me start off by saying that I have been a frequent patron of this establishment for years. I’ve come here for dinner, I’ve come here for hangouts, I’ve brought my family here. This was my home. This was a place where I can enjoy fantastic food with a delightful atmosphere.
That changed this past weekend…
On Saturday January 31st, I decided to take my Girlfriend with me to celebrate the end of one of the most Vanilla months of the year. She is hart of hearing and has a hearing monitor in her ear, please keep this in mind for later.
The place was more lively than usual so they “hired” a bouncer for the establishment. The gentleman was very nice and I even had a conversation with him but I think management should consider either improving their screening process or hire a 3rd party security firm that specializes in this field because what happened next was not only unprofessional but also very disrespectful.
My friend made a harmless joke and my girlfriend shouted “I hate you!” was it louder than normal? Yes! Did she understand? No she doesn’t understand voice volume. I was paying the tab because it was getting late and it was time to leave. All of a sudden this “bouncer” comes in yelling at the top of at the top of his lungs in front of everyone for us to leave. Escalated a situation that wasn’t even escalating…
Here’s something, when you’re in a position such as a bouncer, security guard, officer. Whatever it is in that field. Your assignment is to de-escalate any situation that may seem like a risk towards the establishment that you are assigned to watch over. You ask “what is the problem, do I need to ask you to leave?”
That was not practiced here. Think twice before coming here.
Barefoot peddler, do better.

I’m not one to ever leave reviews, I came here about a year ago, finished eating and there was a dead roach under my fries. After this, I found out another person saw one crawling by the bar and the bartender tried to quickly tried to get rid of it, asking the customer not to make a scene about it. Clearly they have a roach problem and they aren’t trying to do anything about it and they are trying to hide it from people.

It’s been quite a while eating here and a true disappointment to go back. Lunchtime..not real busy. Food was cold pricey for portions. Drinks..martinis..not that dirty lol
