We are first time customers of the establishment and was very impressed with the food quality, which was much better then outback or longhorn steakhouse, the menu was shorter and not as detailed but the waitress filled in the missing menu options and sides that come with the very delicious meals, ( main entree, one side and a salad and soup). It is a older more rustic environment but very comfortable with a friendly staff.
While the menu prices may seem high, you must take into consideration the additional COVID protocol safety measures that all steakhouses have done and some significantly raised prices for, but this establishment is worth the money for their products they are serving.
We highly recommend you try is their steaks, your tastebuds will thank you.
I had heard about it from friends, but usually people say that it’s really far from Omaha. In reality – it is not! It was maybe a 20 minute drive from West Omaha!
The atmosphere is similar to most older steakhouses and that’s part of it’s charm. You automatically get soup and salad with your meal. The salad comes dry with 5 different dressings on the side to choose from. I had the blue cheese and my wife had the creamy house Italian – both were excellent! We also had the ham & bean soup – it reminded me of the soup that my grandma made! As appetizer we had the shrimp scampi and it was not only delicious, but the portion was very generous especially for the price. Then came the main event – my wife had the filet and I had the cut & a half prime rib (pictured)! Wow – that was the best prime rib I have ever had! Everyone should try it at least once in their life! My wife’s steak was cooked perfectly and was also very tasty. After enjoying the meal, we didn’t have any space left for dessert, but I’m sure they’re great as well!
The prices are a bit higher than I would expect but definitely much less expensive than a similar meal in Omaha or council bluffs. I would recommend this place to just about anyone who loves prime rib.
The food was good although not outstanding. In the end we didn’t look at our check to see what we were charged for (absolutely our fault) but assumed the price point was pretty close… when we got home we realized that we got the check for the table beside us (another family with kids), now not sure what our total for 5 might of been but we paid the $173 plus a nice tip for the other family.
The ham and bean soup as well as the homemade bread was delicious.
I know the place has been there a LONG time, but sadly some renovations are due.
