I have finally managed to come, and I must say that this place is absolutely incredible! The depth of flavours, the way the ingredients are combined, the masterful way the food is prepared, cooked, and served with such an explosion of flavours, is difficult to match. We had the fantastic Cantina Mesa Sardinian wine, the 3 different oysters topped with caviar, the salmon sashimi, the dry aged kingfish, the dry aged sea bream, the scallops, followed by the halibut, the tiger prawn, the squid, and the stone bass. All of them were delicious, powerful examples of the masterful way they handle the incredible food they serve. The service is also incredibly warm, fast, efficient, and so passionate that you really feel at home, like you are surrounded by friends who look after you, and care about your well being. We had a memorable meal, and I am looking forward to my next time. Thank you guys, you were amazingly by throughout our dinner!

Came here on a Tuesday evening and it’s not as busy. The waitress was very nice to suggest us to order 4-5 dishes to share. The portion of the dishes are not as big but they are all very good. The sea urchin is so impressive and fresh. The sea bream is a bit like Japanese fusion style. All the fish items are so fresh and tasty. If you can pair your food with the white wine, you can definitely feel satisfied.

This was our second visit to The Sea, The Sea.
The concept is excellent but the execution leaves you wanting more.
I love the business model: fishmonger by day, seafood bar and restaurant by night.
The menu is inspiring and creative and the seafood really is exceptional.

Perhaps our server was having an “off” night because he forgot our drinks and our bread right from the start. He was very kind and apologetic but when our check came and he overcharged us by £85, I was upset. Luckily, my partner checked the receipt and realized the mistake before we left.

Pricey, even without the additional £85.
Small portions.
Automatic 15% gratuity which was not worth the mistakes, yet I felt odd to reduce the percentage.

It’s an experience but not sure it was worth it.

Small place – fishmonger cum restaurant. Counter seating at the oyster bar, however the inside smelled strongly of fish. Outside seating was comfortable in the midday winter near the overhead heating. Blanlet provided.

The fresh cold dishes were better than the one cooked one we tried – very fresh and delicately flavoured. 4* for these urchin and scallop. The tiger prawn curry rice however was underwhelming, almost bad. Overly sauced, acidic tomato flavour overpowered this dish, tasted like a canteen curry. A waste of the fresh prawns which you could hardly taste 1* All the dishes are small plates, so it was lucky we were not hungry.

I’d come again to give it another go, but for that price, hope the rest of the hot food is not like the tiger prawn curry.

The Sea, The Sea, a casual fishmonger by day and a restaurant by night. Good produce served in imaginative ways. Expect small plates.
The place is tiny contemporary touches (marble-top counter, ash-wood flooring). Service was excellent, the staff being friendly and patient.
It would be nice to sit in a chair rather than perching on a stool.

Transformed from a fish shop by day to a dining area by night, this restaurant sits comfortably in its rather chic Chelsea surrounds. Ambiance minimalist but tasteful, service informed & attentive, menu only what’s fresh and food divine! A tad on the pricey side, but that’s London and, at the end of the day, you get what you pay for. Loved our evening and hope to visit again!

Such a gem. My favourite seafood restaurant in London now. Nice variety and good drinks menu, with a smooth but unfussy service.

Our final dinner this time in London was at The Sea, The Sea on Pavilion Road — an understated gem in a cool neighbourhood that more than lives up to the quiet buzz around it.

We started with a selection of beautiful oysters from Essex, Ireland and France, followed by a standout lineup: dry-aged kingfish with sesame milk and turnip — clean, creamy, balanced. Then a gorgeous dry-aged sea bream with verjus and tarragon, every element dialled in.

But the sleeper hit? The seabass with maitake mushrooms and red rice vinegar — deceptively simple, perfectly cooked, and utterly satisfying.

Service was spot on — warm, intuitive, and with sharp wine recommendations, including a surprising and elegant bottle from the Czech Republic that paired brilliantly.

A place for people who appreciate technique without pretence and ingredients of the highest quality, treated well. Will be back.

Had a great experience. Food was so fresh. Menu was small (which I love) but not too small.
Love the combinations, the freshness and the flavors. Definitely a great place to just go and grab lunch or dinner, as prices are decent. I absolutely loved it!
Favorite dish was a special they’ve had made with Sicilian prawns !
