Farine means flour, and it’s at the heart of what we do. Farine Bakery & Cafe is a labor of love – to bring high quality breads, pastries, desserts and brasserie-style meals to our Eastside neighborhoods. We started with the idea that everyone deserves good bread…and really good croissants…and tartines, tarts, waffles, salads! We spent years researching the right combinations of food, drinks and ambience to create Farine. We traveled extensively across France and Belgium to draw inspiration from their rich culinary traditions, and then looked locally to create something unique for this corner of the Pacific Northwest.

This is my favorite to-go cafe in the Seattle/Bellevue area! The food here never disappoints! It’s very tasty and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is very aesthetic. I also love their pastries, in particular, their pumpkin tart. Their coffee selection is also great! Personally, I love their seasonal specials. Overall, this place has incredibly delicious food, so go check it out!

Farine Bakery & Cafe in Bellevue has quickly become my absolute favorite spot in the entire state of Washington—and honestly, it’s not even close.

The location is perfect: right in the heart of Bellevue, easy to get to, with convenient parking nearby and a charming vibe that makes it ideal for a quick stop or a relaxed sit-down. Whether you’re in the mood for a proper breakfast or just want to swing by later in the day, this place nails it every time.

Their breakfast offerings are spot-on—delicious, satisfying, and reasonably priced. You get high-quality ingredients and generous portions without feeling like you’re overpaying, which is rare these days. If you’re grabbing something after 12 PM, it’s just as great for a coffee and a pastry; the café atmosphere works perfectly for that mid-afternoon pick-me-up.

But let’s talk about the real stars: the tarts. The Hazelnut Milk Chocolate Tart and the Belgian Dark Chocolate Tart are above and beyond anything I’ve had elsewhere. The hazelnut one has this incredible shortbread crust, silky milk chocolate cream, a light hazelnut cake layer, and that whipped praline cream with toasted hazelnuts on top—it’s pure perfection in every bite. The Belgian dark chocolate version is equally decadent and intense. These alone are worth the trip.

The pastries, breads, and coffee (they use Caffe Umbria) are all top-notch too, with that authentic Belgian-inspired touch that sets Farine apart. Service is friendly and efficient, even when it’s busy.

If you’re in the Eastside area and looking for an outstanding bakery-cafe that does breakfast right, elevates your coffee run, or blows your mind with desserts, make Farine your go-to.

Farine Bakery in Bellevue was such a pleasant surprise. The place was lively and busy, but it never felt cramped. We found plenty of seating, including outdoors where the heaters kept everything warm and cozy. The staff was genuinely wonderful – friendly, attentive, and quick to help. The food came out fast and everything tasted delicious. Overall, a great spot with a great vibe. I’d happily go back.

Every time I come here the coffee is great and the food is delicious. I love that they have year round staples as well as seasonal options. Tried the seasonal eggs de la créme and they were very well prepared. My go to is the croissant sandwich with added avocado which is always amazing, the tomatoes are so flavorful. Their Carmel latte is well crafted and not too sweet but very flavorful. The staff is always kind and very efficient.

Just know that there is no table service and you find your own seat first take first serve type of deal for seats.

Came on a Saturday for brunch, a bit chaotic for me for the price point of the place. Seating situation is very random, you have to pray you can find one before your food comes and snatch it fast and then ask them to clean the table for you. I felt like I have had to press my face on people getting up just to secure a table and I don’t wish to do that.

Food wise it was decent enough for the price point in such neighborhood. I thought the waffle, classic croissant were pretty good. Overall, it was pretty ok for the price at this kind of location, the seating situation really is the big issue. Imho at this price point, seating should not be like this but if you don’t mind or just come at leas busy time then the place is worth checking out.

Breakfast Sandwich was OKAY & Eggs a la crème was too tart.

Plus it got cold quickly as we were seated outside and you have to bring your coffee (latte etc) from the counter – they did not serve it to table.

Salmon on Smoked Salmon Tartin was a super thin slice, bread was soggy.

It’s way too crowded, and you kind of are overpaying for just atmosphere.

Most likely won’t be back.

This is a wonderful breakfast/Lunch spot. The food is delicious, the sweets are all good and the coffee was wonderful! They have a good variety of options. The service was great. The place is always packed. They do have indoor and outdoor seating. No street parking, but they do have an underground parking, with free 2 hrs parking. Just follow the directions for registering your car, by following the QR code on the parking garage walls.

We’ve been here for breakfast before and everything was fresh and very good, but on Friday my wife and I came to Farine Bakery for breakfast at 1 pm. The portions were smaller and they brought us old, ice-cold fries. We also asked for two hot coffees and even those were cold. I don’t recommend this place, Farine Bakery.

We love their pastries. It gets busy really fast on weekeends but it’s worth waiting. We went to both Redmond and Bellevue. Bellevue Farine is more spacious than Redmond.

Go to brunch spot, service is wonderful, coffee is excellent, and food is delicious. My favorite breakfast item is the Eggs Benedict on their croissant (add avocado). Even on a busy Sunday it’s a pretty quick turnaround from ordering food to enjoying it.
