Butter chicken is delicious too. Prata is cooked perfectly and tastes nice but tastes slightly different than expected, possibly a different oil used.
Flavour and staff friendliness seems to be consistent over my multiple visits here.
I’m definitely becoming a regular here.
After seeing the owner’s response claiming I never visited Dinehut, I’m attaching proof of my payment — a receipt of 644 kr from my visit on 15th September.
Dear owner, this is not how you handle negative feedback. Instead of addressing my concerns, you chose to deny that I was ever there.
The food served was labeled as “Indian,” but it didn’t taste Indian at all. What you called biryani was far from authentic — we could barely eat it.
As for the service: one staff member was okay, but the other was outright rude. The food was handed over with an attitude like, “Here, take it if you want.” After paying, I said thank you — the staff didn’t even acknowledge it. That kind of behavior is not acceptable in any hospitality setting.
If you truly care about your restaurant’s reputation, consider improving both your food and customer service — and take honest feedback seriously instead of dismissing it.
And I’m not the only one who had a bad experience. I recommend you take a look at other comments and feedback as well.
It seems the owner often gets offended by criticism instead of learning from it.
Can have the satisfaction of something really Indian and not just cream and masala.
The portions were good. The staff were friendly.
What more can we ask.
For such a location I think the prices are ok.
Lamb Kurma must try.
I ordered a masala dosa, regular dosa, and one south indian coffee.
The coffee was excellent, though they can prob put a lil less milk and it would still be good.
The dosas were disappointing. They were salty. The sambar was tasteful but you are only given a very tiny bowl. The coconut chutney tasted more yougurty than coconut. The potato masala was good.
The restaurant does serve north indian as well, though I did not try it so not sure of the quality.
