What a nice place… and delicious meal. I had the Mediterranean Chicken Wrap with arugula, goat cheese and carmelized onions. The sandwich came with their amazing homemade chips with a side of chipotle aioli to dip chips in. I am taking half of everything home for tomorrow’s lunch. My husband got a cup of very tasty chili and then the special chorizo biscuits and gravy with eggs. Wonderful flavor and he’s taking half of this home too. Challen took great care of us and was a wonderful server. There were lots of interesting things and pictures to look at all over. We will return next time we are in the area.

Stopped in for a quick bite. To my surprise they had a great menu, not just your typical bar/pub food.
Food was great as well as our server. Will definitely be coming back here again.

Food was delicious! We got mostly apps to share, the specials we got were the pork nachos and sticky Asian short rips. We also got the Henry’s shrimp shareable, asparagus soup special, and a wedge salad. Between 3 people we still had some left overs, great portions and such good food! 10/10 will visit again!!

I really love this place! We first visited in summer of 2024. Get there early as this place fills up in peak season. We joke about our first visit when we read it was classified as a dive bar, but when we pulled in, my car was the ‘dive’ amongst expensive cars. We had visited Bartlett’s years prior and always hoped to return, but alas, it closed. Then, one day on a whim, I put in Bartlett’s in a google search and came across the menu for this place. Puzzled, I started reading about it and was thrilled to discover this was opened later by same owner. I drive from over an hour away and a different time zone to come here. I have invited friends to come along with me and have friends who have visited upon my recommendation.

My favorite is the fried cod dinner on the weekends. Those hush puppies are amazing! I also love the potstickers.

I have found the staff to be very kind and even on the one visit I went that they were short-handed and therefore slower service, the staff was still amazing. Especially love the lady that ends her service to her tables with a ‘bad joke’!

Joe & Freddy’s has a variety of seating (high top tables, regular tables, booths, and bar stools). Personally, I prefer the booths or regular tables. I’ve found fellow diners to be kind and friendly, offering to share their table when the place was completely full.

We also found Fish Camp down the road (same owner). Love it too! Took my mom there for her birthday and the owner came out to meet us because I was wearing my Joe & Freddy’s tshirt. If you’re looking for seafood, like bouillabaisse, amazing clam chowder, or crab claws, check out Fish Camp. Some dishes are similar at the two establishments but each is still different.

Thanks for cooking! We love your restaurants!!!

Joe and Freddy’s is always a great place to hear live music and get some delicious food. I especially love the kitchy decor -very fun! Staff is always friendly and attentive as well. Their pizza is yummy, and they have many talented musicians playing in the weekends which adds to the experience!

My husband and I visited while on vacation. Was basically the only place to go by our hotel and was worth it. I would have been back to try more dishes if I had the time.
We visited during the week and the kitchen closed at 9 pm thankfully we got there with 10 min to order but to me this is very early for a bar and grill.
Price was as expected. Atmosphere had good vibes. Wasn’t busy and we had our order in with food served all within 30 minutes.
Overall great and would definitely recommend: pizza is tavern style we had the BBQ chicken. It was amazing.
Appetizer we had the homemade bread sticks with cheese and the marinara sauce . Excellent

Funky diner with a great atmosphere and awesome food. Super high quality food options, not exactly the vibe the place gives off but that’s part of the charm.

Their tavern style pizza is no joke and so are the shrimp tacos, oysters Rockefeller, and Italian beef sandwich. They also do live music on Fridays! We go every time we’re in Beverly Shores.

My visit to Joe and Freddy’s Bar and Grill on Highway 12 for brunch was a mixed bag. The solo waitress on duty deserves a shout-out for her efforts; she was attentive despite the overall sluggish pace of service. It was a good thing we got an appetizer, because our mains seemed to be on a leisurely journey from the kitchen to our table.

The appetizer, sloppy fries, promised more than it delivered. The sweet potato fries themselves were cooked well, but the topping was a letdown – just some basic sloppy joe meat with shredded cheese. No rich cheese sauce, no garnish, nothing to justify the price tag or elevate the dish beyond the ordinary.

My main dish, the Mexican-style brisket skillet with chorizo gravy, featured a well-made brisket, but overall, it lacked the kick of Mexican spices I was looking forward to. It felt like the kitchen had held back on the flavors that should have been front and center.

One of my friends had wings that also fell flat – they didn’t have enough sauce, resulting in a flavor that was forgettable.

We left Joe and Freddy’s feeling like the experience and the food were just okay. Nothing was terrible, but nothing stood out, especially considering the price point of the dishes. It’s not a spot I’d rush back to, but for a no-fuss, fill-your-belly kind of meal, it does the job.

It may look like a hole in the wall but the food and drinks are 5-star worthy!!! The steak salad, oysters and the jalapeño poppers were AMAZING!!! Challen was the best server! Very attentive and accommodating! This is a must try!! Great stop after a day of shopping at the outlet mall.
