I gave this place two chances thinking maybe they had an off day. The second time I had low expectations which they failed to meet. For lunch they charged $13 for the buffet, which is not AYCE, it’s whatever they put on your plate. I was given three small chicken tenders, cold boiled cabbage and flavorless mac and cheese. The roll was decent as well as the included red velvet cake, the rest of the meal was subpar at best. I went back for breakfast, assuming it was hard to mess up breakfast, and I was proven wrong. The eggs and toast were undercooked, the sausage was overcooked and lukewarm and the coffee was burnt. The only acceptable item was the grits, as small of portion as they were. Unfortunately there are not a lot of options in the Belmont / Red Bay area, so I’m sure nothing will change here, but I won’t be back.

Lil cute restaurant salad bar was really fresh! Pretty pricy for what we got. We got 2 salad bar, 2 cheese burgers For $28 and gave a $10 tip. They have a hot bar as well.NOT BUFFET STYLE! They don’t serve you at table you order at register. Salad bar got real small bowl so one time trip….small salad! Hamburger fresh and homemade thin patty that broke apart while trying to eat. Watched others come in and order and they got the buffet which you tell them what you want and they put it in a to go container. Not much for your price. Real disappointed for a local cute diner. Homemade pies here as well served on plate and wrapped to go. Customer service lacks some. No greeting and had to ask if we seat ourselves or wait. Waitress/cashier wearing shirt with holes in it. Hair not pulled back on multiple staff. I wouldn’t stop again nor would I recommend.

What is there not to love about these small country town restaurants that harken back to the days when life just seem to move a little slower and everyone you met gave you a friendly hello or politely nodded their head to you?

This restaurant takes you right back to those days where everyone working there had a warm, friendly smile when they greeted you, and they made you feel right at home.

We came for breakfast and we were not disappointed. The white gravy smothered over the biscuits was to die for good. The eggs were cooked perfectly to order. Good ole home made grits, toast and sausages rounded out a terrfic meal for us. The portions were generous, and we concluded this would be our one meal for the day.

I had the fried catfish and my wife had the grilled catfish and both were excellent! We got there right after the lunch buffet had closed so it was a little quieter.

This is a casual southern food restaurant with walk up ordering and a buffet option. After you order or go through the buffet, you seat yourself . This was my first time eating there. My husband and I both had chicken tenders from the buffet. I can say they were probably the most hot, tender and juicy tenders we’ve had. That being said, I believe they didn’t have enough flavor. I also had the broccoli casserole and baby lima beans. I enjoyed both. Then comes the roll….OMG….the best best I’ve had in a long time. It was served hot as bread should be and was melt in your mouth delicious!!! Then for dessert I had a yellow cake. This was good also. My husband had creamed corn, white beans and salad and said everything was great. Service was amazing as well. Obviously we both walked away with difficulty as we had eaten way too much!!! We would definitely return when we pass through again.

We’ve had breakfast here 2 times in the past week. Always excellent…must try the chocolate waffles if you like a sweet breakfast! Great desserts.
Service is good, ordering at the counter then they deliver to your table. Fast and delicious no matter what we odered.

It doesn’t look like much from the outside but the inside packs a punch with great homestyle food

I rarely leave reviews, but this place deserves a knock because their reviews are way too washed by people who have no idea what good food tastes like. The beef tips was some of the driest meat I’ve ever eaten in my life. I’ve gotten more tenderness out of beef jerky than this supposed Beef tips with gravy which tastes like peppercorn jerky but not nearly as good. I guess their gravy is just beef juice as well cause I didn’t see no gravy. Its a sin to make cornbread as dry as this or mac and cheese that tastes like mac and water. The ranch potatoes were okay I guess. Its a sad experience when I’d rather eat a hotdog than this. Service was nice though if thats any solace for beef tips with juice and mac and water.

Wonderful experience here. We stayed at the Sparks Drive Inn Bed & Breakfast and had our morning meal here (part of the package).

Sweet local business with wonderful people and comfortable, homey and we’ll appointed amenities.

If you are hungry or need a place to stay the night, you’ll be doing yourself an injustice if you pass this place up!

(If you have a sweet tooth, try the biscuits with chocolate gravy.)

The buffet was okay. Salad bar was really good. However when we was going through the buffet line the 2 girls serving the food was whispering to each other and then laughing. Very rude and I definitely won’t be back. Very rude workers
