Casual beer & burger joint offering American pub grub, pool & arcade games in spacious, modern digs.

A strip mall tavern? Sounds trashy. Okay, kinda. But it’s as American as the mega church. Bad example, but you get my drift. The patio has a nice view of the foothills, the food is stellar, and the staff is amazing. The fried pickles are dreamy, and the beer is cold! Also, there is pinball. Pinch me.
I got a green chili burger and chips. Happiness on a plate.
It is a perfect place to go after hiking around Roxborough State Park. Delicious!

Waterton Tavern is a hidden gem! The wings here are absolutely top-notch—huge, juicy, and packed with flavor. They’re easily some of the best I’ve had, and they blow the competition out of the water. The seasoning and sauces are spot on, and the quality is consistently great. On top of that, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Whether you’re here for a casual night out or just craving some amazing wings, this place does not disappoint. Highly recommend!

Every time we come here, we are reminded why we do NOT come here more. Honestly, we’ve lived in Rox for 23 years and have eaten and drank here numerous times and it just keeps getting worse. HEY, OWNERS: The quality is decreasing if you actually care…
1) stop asking the desired temperature of a burger if your “chef” is just going to cook it to death.
2) take the Reuben off your menu because it was 100% terrible. 2 whole slices of pastrami, apparently pre-pan fried(?), barely 1 teaspoon of kraut, and I don’t think the sandwich even contained dressing at all. It wasn’t just sad, it was pathetic.
3) your deep friers are either too hot or needs cleaning because the fries and rings were burned, even my 7yo asked if his fries were burned.
$100 for this meal for 2 adults + 2 kids is highway robbery.
Please improve or simply stick to beer.

Waterton Tavern is becoming one of my staple spots for a quick, tasty meal when I don’t feel like cooking for myself. It gives me that “mountain town local bar and food” vibe, which is probably what I love about it. I have tried quite a bit of the menu now and can honestly say that the French Dip and Fish and Chips are some of the best I’ve had. The portions are generous, and the service is always friendly. This is definitely somewhere to stop for a meal if you are hungry after a hike in nearby Waterton Canyon or Roxburough Park before heading home.

Service was above and beyond, even if it was loud the bartenders were on top of it! Love it. Enjoyed the nachos! Yummy. 1st time here, was worth our stop to check it out!

We are really excited that this place is close to our home. Everyone was very friendly and the food was great. The bacon on both burgers was CRISPY, which is super hard to find!! They were out of sweet potato tots which was a bummer but I guess we will just have to go back!!

Stopped in for a quick bite. Service was wonderful. Food was pretty good. They had a wide selection. The BBQ sauce was a little spicy for my liking but still very good. The prices were a little high for the quantity of food however the quality was still there.

It’s the best spot in town to go. Food isn’t bad, beer choices are decent, service is friendly, but prices are steep and make it where I don’t visit often. I like that they have a spot outside and it always seems busy inside. Food also isn’t overly greasy.

We have given this place multiple chances but every time we are disappointed. Poor service every time. Came and server walked by 3 times saying they’d be back multiple times, came for a quick lunch were there for 90 minutes, came to sit at the bar to eat and drink and eat they were out of ciders and got our food after 30+ minutes and was cold. Recommend takeout and takeout only.

If you want a sandwich that tastes like it’s from a hospital cafeteria, this is the place for you! Luckily, they were only $17 each. They came out of the kitchen at room temperature and the fries were slightly cooler. Maybe we picked the wrong day?
