If you want a sandwich that tastes like it’s from a hospital cafeteria, this is the place for you! Luckily, they were only $17 each. They came out of the kitchen at room temperature and the fries were slightly cooler. Maybe we picked the wrong day?

We have gotten food three times from here. The first two times were good. This time, not-so-much. One burger was very well done when we requested medium well, and the caramelized onions were missing. The kids mac & cheese portion was tiny. We ordered two kids burgers very very well done because the last time they were not done, and they were inedible, burned to a crisp. I guess partly my fault for very very well done. The fries were good. It’s one of the few restaurants in the area, so we’ll probably give it another shot.

We are really excited that this place is close to our home. Everyone was very friendly and the food was great. The bacon on both burgers was CRISPY, which is super hard to find!! They were out of sweet potato tots which was a bummer but I guess we will just have to go back!!

I just moved into nearby Sterling Ranch and had hopes of this being a new spot for food and drinks. WRONG. I looked at the website ahead of time for the menu, and it sounded good. However, when I walk into a bar or any restaurant, I find it very uncomfortable when the floor is so disgustingly sticky that it literally almost took my shoe off. I let that slide in order to give this place a fair chance. Bad move. The menu didn’t match the website, not a hard update to do. My waitress cursed multiple times, describing the rising price of food. Another turn-off. I ordered the daily special of a double cheeseburger, which was described to me as thinner than standard patties, which is great and makes sense. The problem is that the patties (think about McDonald’s thickness) weren’t even cooked to medium rare. Yuk! Bad service, i.e. no refills of water in 45 minutes of being there, and being treated like an inconvenience for asking for more ketchup since mine was empty. I will not be returning. This place needs a total overhaul.

My husband and I love Waterton Tavern! It’s one of our go-to spots for a quick drink or a full meal. We love the Philly, fried pickles, and wings the most, but everything is so good! The staff is amazing and always attentive even when it’s super busy. The events are always fun to be a part of also! A Roxborough staple for sure!

I have been to Waterton Tavern a few times and I always have a good time. The fried pickles and wings are tasty and I’ve never had a bad drink. Sometimes service can be a bit slow but the staff is always polite. A great place to watch whatever game you’re looking for too!

Lived here for 20+ years and this had always been a staple and a go to, however it just seems to get worse as time passes. For one it’s filthy. 2 they should never have stopped doing breakfast – had the best biscuits and gravy. Tonight, only appetizer was wings, no burgers, no fries or onion rings. Very disappointed.

Just a great lunch spot if you are out in Roxborough. I ordered the ‘Guac’ cheeseburger. This thing was delicious, but you had to commit! Stacked high with pepper jack cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and lots of amazing guac! Truth be told, I made a mess conquering this burger, but I regret nothing. Left with a smile, definitely will return.
