We were there on a Saturday. It’s one of the few places I’ve seen get busier later at night. It was almost full at 8pm.

The restaurant is set up in a semi circle so that most, if not all, tables can look outside at the lake. The decor of the restaurant is fairly simple except for the wave shaped accents on the ceiling.

The food was really good. The blooming onion is so delicious!!! The pan fried salmon was nicely crunchy on the outside. The potatoes and Brussels sprouts were perfect. The beef barley soup was very salty.

The waitresses were on top of things but the reception and check out were confusing. There seemed to be people around who were working but not cross trained on seating people and checking them out. They couldn’t find the person who was responsible for checking people out for a while.

Another area of improvement would be to take an actual vacuum cleaner with a wand attachment and clean the carpet and heater next to the windows.

Where do I start…. The amount of stars was generous to say the least. The waitress was not very friendly or attentive. Seemed annoyed. There was 3 other people other then us there. The food. The food was not it. The complementary bread was dry and hard. The butter had a very off taste to it. We got the blooming onion for apatizer and it was over cooked and burnt. The main meal. I got the seafood Cajun pasta and I don’t know how to describe it but definitely don’t recommend it unless you like the taste of red hot sauce bc that’s all it tasted like. I can’t say how my husbands meal was bc he won’t say anything neg lol. The fires were good though. Now to the paying. We paid our bill and money was taken from our account and said approved on the card reader and they told us we didn’t pay and wanted us to pay again but couldn’t garentee that we wouldn’t be double charged and if we were we would have to dispute it with the bank. I’m just over all disappointed

My experience at The VIEW, the restaurant inside Spirit Lake Casino, was a mixed one. While they offered daily specials like a $10 steak with a drink purchase, and a variety of menu options, the overall quality of the food didn’t impress me. The service was average, without any outstanding aspects. The saving grace was the pleasant view; however, if you’re in a larger group, be prepared to be seated in the less picturesque area, surrounded by columns and walls. The drink selection was decent, but might be limited if you’re seeking diverse cocktails. The portion sizes were standard, but the flavors lacked the “wow” factor. On the positive side, there’s ample parking outside the casino, and the facility itself was clean and well maintained.

While traveling through North Dakota, we stopped off to have a nice steak dinner with a great view so we thought.

Keep on traveling, the steak had no seasoning or flavor at all. When we cut into them nothing but hot water oozed out of them. The baked potato tasted like it was microwaved.
The only edible thing was the Rice and the Cream cheese wontons we ordered as an appetizer.

We also ordered the Pork Belly bites as an appetizer. They were tossed in Frank’s Red Hot sauce, Gross and Not Cajun seasoned or cooked to a crisp they were soggy and 95% fat chunk’s.

My wife ordered the Chicken Carbonara and this was also inedible due to its weird spoiled bacon taste.

The server came after we took a few bites each and asked how our meal was, we said we’d rather not say, she took it personally rather than trying to fix the situation.

Needless to say don’t waste $120 dollars on two dinners and two appetizers and keep on driving.

The only great thing was the view, so go upstairs look around and take a photo and run.

If I could rate in the negative I would. TLDR: hair in multiple dishes. My wife and I went here for a night out and dinner started off with with us having to wait for the hostess to clean off the menu’s. Multiple other hostesses standing around doing nothing. Then when we finally got seated as we are looking at the menu’s deciding, the waitress came up, we were unsure on our drink order, instead of asking if we had questions we were asked if we need more time. I asked if they had DR. Pepper (which is carried on the casino floor) and was told that they have Coke products. I asked for another choice and again was given a cold one word answer of “No” so just went with water.

After our drinks finally arrived we ordered our food. The menu states only starches and a vegetable, we were not told what the options were till after we attempted to order mashed potatoes and broccoli. After finally placing our order we waited over 30 minutes for our order. The steak I ordered looked like it was from the discount rack at Walmart. No where near the quality one would except for a $37 meal. When then waitress asked if we needed anything I requested a steak knife. As we BOTH began to prepare to eat we found hair in both of our dishes . We decided we were not going to eat here. After 10 minutes I went to the hostess station and requested a manager. 5 minutes later out waitress showed up without a steak knife asking how our meal was. We told her we both had hair in our meal and what we needed to do to square up. Almost 10 minutes later she brought us a bill for $2.25 for the one Fountain drink. An hour spent waiting for terrible service and food with hair in it to be charged for a fountain drink with no apology or even an opportunity to speak with a manager. This experience has given us plenty of reason to never return to this casino/ resort for anything.

I highly recommend going down the road to the ranch where the food is better quality and the service is 1000% better and spend your money there.

I’ve eaten here twice. Both time have been absolutely splendid! Staff always has a good attitude & is on top of everything. Never have had any complaints. Food is magnificently delicious & have yet to need any sauce.

Price of the food is a little spendy but nothing appalling. THE VIEWS from the restaurant overlooking the lakes is phenomenal at the right time, this time it was raining but I was still a good view.

Will definitely return in the future when I’m passing through & I highly suggest checking it out if you’re looking for some good eating. Keep up the good work gals & guys!

T-bone special, eh, just ok. Chicken breasts covered with peppers, onions and jack cheese were good as were asparagus and brussel sprouts. Mashed potatoes were meh. Nice server and great view.

We came in the first thing they say is their is gonna be a 15% tip added to the bill given we had 7 people, no greetings which is very rude first off. Their where barley any people in there so we asked to sit by the window because that’s why we came but they said no and sat us in the back. And the people up front where very crabby and rude.

We sat down and it took about 10 minutes for the waiter to come and when she finally did she wasn’t very chipper as well. We ordered the drinks and that took another 20 minutes, for drinks!? She didn’t really remember who got what.

For aps. It took another while which is fine cause you have to make the food (I think we where all just really hungry). Once we got the aps. We all dug in. The first one was these beef tips, they where pretty good the dipping sauce was just disgusting. Then we got quesadillas they where super dry, could have had a sauce to it. The chips with the artichoke dip was also very dry and the dip wasent even enough for two people. Finally the blooming onion was delicious, tasted like onion rings and the dip with it was incredible.

Over all for a first impression this place wasn’t appealing the portion sizes where so small for the price you pay and wasn’t very good. The workers were cranky and didn’t even make it enjoyable. You know the service is bad when a 16 year old has to come on and review. I work at two different restaurants and I would never treat people as bad as they did.

My in-laws took us out to dinner for our 25th anniversary along with our daughter and her friend. The view of the lake was beautiful, I just wish they had shades they could pull down so the sun wasn’t directly in our eyes. We all ordered a variety of things, my steak was delicious, just a little overcooked. Our waitress was so friendly and cheerful, unfortunately I don’t remember her name. At the end of the meal, my husband and I got to share a free dessert. We got the bread pudding, it had a slight freezer burn taste to it. They wrote happy anniversary in caramel on the plate. It was very nice of them.

We had a terrific dinner at the view. The dinner rolls were a bit dry but tasted pretty good. It was nice and quiet in there. The waitress was very kind and helpful.
