Kasbah has the coolest vibes; with a traditional feel and modern flair.
From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us with genuine hospitality. The kosher menu offers a most delightful menue, each dish tasty, fresh and made with high-quality ingredients.
The steak we had and the onion rings were unbelievable. The mashed potatoes are beyond delicious
They have this awesome program that if you say a Dvar Torah you get a free dessert – its very worth it!!
we liked the hot choclate chip cookie with ice cream. ☕️
The people there are so warm and geshmak making it easy to linger and enjoy excellent conversation.
We left thoroughly satisfied and already planning our next visit.
Nice atmosphere, great for a date or a small group with a close warm conversation.
My family and I made a reservation for a Sunday evening. We waited for over an hour just to order food, and even that only happened after we chased down the Manager, who then grabbed a ripped piece of paper to write down our order. He then told us that most of what we ordered was basically not available, something that could’ve been said to us when we sat down an hour earlier. We ordered the food and then waited for almost an hour to receive it. When we received our food, we were told that another dish that we had ordered was not available. If you do the math, that was two hours after we sat down. The meat we had ordered was far from the temp we had ordered it at, and the request to cook it more had cost us another 30 minutes waiting for it.
While all of this was happening, nobody checked on us, apologized, try to remedy any of the appalling service experience, nor was the paper in the bathroom filled the entire time we were there. We had asked them to restock the paper repeatedly. The bathrooms were also freezing cold.
At the end of our dinner, only when we asked for the check and made it known that we were deeply disturbed and disappointed – a member of the staff had apologized and tried to give us a free salad, which we didn’t want.
Would also like to add that one of our family members is disabled and the experience of waiting for 2 hours for food and having no paper in the bathrooms was an added stress and struggle.
We were one of quite a few tables that were waiting for their food and complaining about it.
Now put aside everything I just wrote, and let’s focus on the bigger picture here: this place blatantly and shamelessly takes advantage of the kosher eating Jewish community, whose eating-out options are scarce, and their forgiveness is (too) generous. It’s honestly disgusting to see such behavior from those who seem to be “בחורים טובים” , clearly not giving a damn about giving decent/industry standard/good service to their customers.
Because let’s be clear about one thing – you may be able to take advance of having monopoly over kosher restaurants in the UWS, and you may be able to take advantage of our generosity – but you should not assume that we have no standards, no taste, and no self respect.
העיקר התמונות של הרבנים משקיפות על כולכם וגורמות לכם לחשוב שאתם אנשים טובים, אה? כל החוויה – אפס.
I will say I don’t go to kosher restaurants too often but parents where in town and they only eat kosher so we hit up different spots. I was super excited for this place with it’s positive comments.
So what was good: The hummos, pita, turkey shnitzal and fries.
So what was bad: short rib, sweet potato, green beans (cold), chicken shish.
The service here was alright. When asking what the best sellers where our waiter just read off the entire menu, not really helping with the decision making.
The restaurant it’s self is a bit boring inside with not much character I’m sorry to say. It needs a bit of life added back in. Plus the TV’s showing whatever was on didn’t enhance my expirience, personally I think it took away from it. But each to there own on this one.
All in all some of the food was ok but there are to many better options that I just can’t give this place more stars.

Enjoyed the deli sandwich and creative apps. Especially the pastrami wrapped schnitzel!
Meats in general were delicious!
