Carbonara is light not too overly salty. The salad with chip on top is kinda interesting. Tiramisu is great. One server consistently serves someone else food to us. Kinda awkward. There is 20% service charge.

The hubby and I went for a date night and this place did not disappoint. Service was great from entrance to exit. The host was very nice and we were greeted with a smile and warm welcoming presence. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations. The fried artichoke is amazing. The margherita pizza was 10/10, loved the sauce and crispy crust. I can’t wait to come back and try some more. It was so yummy and the staff was very friendly and still professional.

Nut allergy friendly: No issues with the pizza here and I don’t think they have many nuts overall on the menu.

Time-to-Food; 16 Minutes

We got here around 4:30PM on a Saturday afternoon for their 4-6PM daily happy hour and were seated outside with no issues.

For two people, we shared the Funghi pizza (8/10) and a beer and an Old Fashioned each. The Funghi pizza was very sharable, had a good balance of truffle oil and cheese and mushroom, and a nice crispy and not too thick crust. Would definitely come back for the happy hour pizza. I wouldn’t get a cocktail again – it was pretty watered down and had too much ice. The beer was just poured out of a can and so $8 for an IPA is quite expensive. I’d definitely come back and order some other things from the happy hour menu aside from beverages.

No issues paying via inKind and applying a referral discount.

Me and the wife decided to try this place for a date night, glad this was where we landed. The starters and entrees were all delicious! The fried artichoke, suppli funghi, pizza, and Bucatini Amatriciana was just delightful. From the atmosphere to the service, everything was perfect for out night. We will definitely be returning without a doubt.

Rione XIII absolutely blew us away! From the moment we walked in, the hostess warmly greeted us and thoughtfully asked what we were celebrating. That small gesture set the tone for the night—every detail felt personal and intentional. The service was outstanding: attentive without hovering, genuinely friendly, and perfectly paced.

The food? Incredible. Every dish was vibrant, balanced, and beautifully presented—clearly made with care. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in both flavor and finesse. Because it was a special occasion, the team added little touches throughout the meal that made us feel truly celebrated, and we never once had to flag anyone down—water topped off, courses timed just right, and thoughtful check-ins at perfect moments.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, ideal for date nights, birthdays, or any “treat yourself” dinner. Rione XIII nails that rare combination of exceptional hospitality, delicious food, and genuine attention to detail. We left happy, full, and already planning our next visit. Couldn’t recommend it more!

What a treat of a Sunday Happy Hour. We arrived just after 4pm without a reservation. The staff was so warm and friendly! We had the most amazing young woman wait on our table. She was genuinely kind and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She had great suggestions as we dined off the HH menu. One of those wonderful meals with fabulous service. Will definitely return again soon!

Absolutely loved our experience here! The food and cocktails were incredible- highly recommend getting the carbonara! The atmosphere was so inviting and an overall cozy, welcoming vibe. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. You can really tell the team cares about every detail. Easily one of my fav spots in capitol hill to go to.

Really great pasta!!! Service was the nicest I think I have every had, very considerate and attentive to our party and smal child. I will definitely come back especially the bucatini vegetarian style with mushrooms (great suggestion). One note it can be quite loud inside when it is busy.

The food was all right, but I found that it was pretty carb heavy and the menu didn’t really present many options for protein other than the two expensive choices. The Montepulciano wine was mediocre.

The staff were super friendly and were probably the best thing about the place. I found that the environment was overly loud.

It definitely did not feel like one small plate and two drinks was worth $68.
