After paying for the buffet, I observed that the entire area was sparkling clean. The food was also well made. Keep in mind, we all have varying palates and preferences for spice levels. For us, this was good.
It s imperative that I pay a compliment to the lady chef who prepared the exceptionally delicious upma with sufficient cashews; the aroma, texture, and taste were awesome. I was told it had been prepared in pure ghee.
The chai was also the perfect consistency and flavor.
We will definitely return to this place and promote it to our friends. Please continue to maintain your standard of cleanliness and retain your Upma chef and customer service ladies.
⭐ Honest Review – Chowrastha (Groceries, Halal Meat & Eatery)
I always write genuine reviews — not to hurt any restaurant, but to help both customers and owners improve.
Coming to the food, I wouldn’t call it awesome or horrible — it’s somewhere in between. The main concern is hygiene. The food felt more like college hostel or mess food, not like proper restaurant quality.
The real disappointment was the customer service. When a customer gives feedback, especially about something serious like finding hair in the food, the staff should come forward, respond politely, and take responsibility. Instead, they just said, “We’ll tell the team,” and continued their work.
After informing them about the issue, they didn’t even say “I apologize” or offer to replace the item. I just left my item there — even then, no one responded. That moment honestly hurt me, because when a customer takes the time to give feedback, the staff should care. It’s not a small thing — yes, you can technically remove the hair and continue eating, but is that really right? That’s why I hope the restaurant focuses more on quality, hygiene, and customer respect.
The restaurant really needs to train the staff on how to speak with customers, how to handle feedback, and how to maintain hygiene. I understand many of them might be students working part-time, but that’s exactly why proper guidance and training are important.
I’m not saying “don’t go” — you can visit and try, but please check your food carefully. I’m sharing this review so both the store management and customers can be more aware.
All my reviews are genuine, not paid promotions. My goal is to help people get safe, quality food and help businesses improve honestly.
Earlier, the deal (3 biryanis for $30, $32 for goat) had good quantity. Now the quantity has been reduced drastically, week after week, and the quality is terrible barely any meat, poor taste, and nowhere near worth the money.
This feels like a bait and switch tactic advertise an offer, then quietly reduce portions and quality while charging full price. Regular customers are being taken advantage of.
I feel completely misled and fooled. Save your money and avoid this place, especially on Wednesdays. There are much better and more honest options elsewhere.
We ordered limited Pani puri:
The previous party were a group of 4 who ordered unlimited pani puri. They wouldn’t serve anyone else until they finished. They were eating for atleast 20 mins and we had to wait for all the time. We even asked them to give the 6 pani puri on separate plate, but they wouldn’t give. We literally had to argue to get the pani puri!
We had already ordered sambar rice with chicken fry. It was just rice and a ton of ghee! The chicken fry did not have salt. I have attached the photo, there is nothing more to review about it.
Rava dosa was uncooked in the center.
The tea, pulihora and veg gare was good.
The puris were very thin and seemed like leftovers from an already opened box , he was clearly trying to finish those before opening a new one. Water was dripping, the stuffing was served with half a spoon and the curry was cold with very little quantity in the box. After serving half the plate, he finally opened a new puri box. We’re paying for it, not getting it for free.
However, the girl who took the order was very nice and polite..she was the only positive part of the visit.
I recently ordered Chicken 65, and I must say this was one of the worst takeout experiences I have ever had. The dish was drenched in artificial food coloring — so excessive that it looked nothing like actual food. The chicken itself appeared spoiled, with an off-putting smell and texture that immediately raised serious food safety concerns.
The taste was absolutely unacceptable. It was clear that this was not prepared by a trained or experienced chef — no proper marination, no balanced spices, and no attention to cooking standards whatsoever.
This is not just a matter of bad cooking — serving food that appears spoiled is a serious health hazard. I strongly urge the management to immediately review their ingredient sourcing, kitchen hygiene, and cooking standards.
I would NOT recommend this to anyone. Avoid at all costs.
It would have been grate if they have put some cashew and some more fried onions
Also they have put Haleem on display along with starters rack and it looked dry as hell
The corners were dried and was looking ugly
They have to work on appearance as well when they are charging good amount
