Amazing multi-level indoor and outdoor garden restaurant, with excellent city views and cuisine! The best octopus I’ve ever had in South America. Tender and fresh. The heart of palms appetizer comes whole and is cut at one’s table by the staff! Delicious. Well worth the drive up the hill. Reserve dinner for a breathtaking view during sunset.

This is a wonderful restaurant – it’s set up like a tree house high on the hill over looking the Sambodrome. During Carnaval, you can see fireworks from the parade area – it’s really amazing. The food is good but I wouldn’t go as far as to say amazing. Presentation is excellent but I feel the dishes need a bit more complexity and flavor to deserve the prized Michelin recognition. I had the lamb, which was good, but I would have liked a more flavorful sauce to accompany it. My partner has the tropical fish. It was also great but I wished there was some accompaniment that melded all the flavors of the dish together. I’m not complaining – just providing my thoughts. Service is impeccable, and for Americans the prices are reasonable. A 13% gratuity was added to the bill for our party of six, which I thought was fair. Appetizers were good but aside from the hearts of palm dish, I didn’t find anything unique or memorable. Cocktails were really good too but weak on the booze. Their pao de quijo was disappointing. We had some earlier in the day from a coffee shop and it ran circles around the fancy restaurant. Desserts were also good. Go for the Brazilian nut ice cream.

My most favorite restaurant in Rio De Janeiro, michelin level food that is affordable, authentic, incredibly delicious. I ensure I stop by here every time I’m in Rio. The views are incredible (request table with a view during sunset). Ordered the acaraje, shrimp and rice, octopus and palmito and caipirinhas were excellent. The pao de queijo and acai guacamole are nothing special, not worth ordering. Staff is attentive and most speak English. If you’re a gourmet foodie who loves a beautiful unique spot at the top of historic site, this place is for you.

I went to celebrate my birthday there. The place is quite Charming and has this tree house feel, amd the views are incredible. Now the food left nothing to be desired, it makes sense that this is a Michelin Star restaurant. I would return again on my next trip to rio. I found the cost to be quite affordable and even a steal in comparison to the service provided.

Amazing view and service. The food and drinks are so delicious, by the entrances I could tell they deserve more than 2 Michelin stars!
This restaurant is now on my list of favorites in Brazil!

The the food here is extremely good and the atmosphere and view is amazing. It is a little more expensive than the average restaurant, but I feel it is worth the price. We had to wait a little longer than usual for an Uber ride since the roads are narrow and winding. Not as many drivers want to go there.

If you ever wanted to dine in the clouds of Rio and feel like a travel-executive doing it in style, Aprazível is your spot. High above the city in the bohemian hillside of Santa Tereza, the restaurant opens has great views of rooftops, bay, and that unmistakable Carioca skyline.

From the moment you arrive, you get the kind of hospitality that knows how to relax while it impresses. The staff were warm, attentive, and clearly proud of the space, an open-air treehouse-style retreat where you’re dining among the jungle canopy and city lights. It’s elevated casual: timber and stone, ambient lighting, gentle breeze through leaves, and that amazing skyline.

The menu showcases Brazilian creativity and flair. Their house-famous açaí guacamole was fresh, unexpected, and rich without being heavy. It’s not your Oaxacan guacamole and that’s okay. The vibe carried on with the main offerings, each one rooted in local flavor but styled for the modern table. Pair that with a caipiroska de maracujá, and you have drink-game and relaxation on point.

One of the best restaurants I’ve tried in Brazil. The quality-to-price ratio is outstanding, and the food feels like something deeply rooted in home cooking — but elevated with technique and intention. It’s comforting without being simple. The menu is diverse and genuinely well thought out. It draws from Amazonian, Carioca, and Northern Brazilian ingredients, with a strong focus on organic and regional sourcing. You can really taste that the ingredients are treated with respect rather than overcomplicated. What I found especially interesting, and something people don’t always notice is how the restaurant subtly reflects Brazil’s biodiversity on the plate. Many dishes highlight native ingredients that aren’t widely exported, which makes the experience feel truly local rather than adapted for tourists. It gives you a sense of the country’s culinary depth beyond the usual clichés. And a detail that deserves more attention: the views. Depending on where you sit, you get a perspective that changes throughout the day, the light, the tones of the surroundings, even the mood of the space evolve as the sun moves. It’s not just a backdrop; it becomes part of the experience. If you can, ask for a table where you can really take that in. I had an excellent experience and would return without hesitation. It’s the kind of place that makes you reconsider what “Brazilian food” really means.
