We had lunch at this Cracker Barrel location in Milford CT and it was a great experience. We’ve dined here before but I don’t think I’ve ever completed a review so here we go. The ambiance was bustling with a lot of people dining on the weekend but I thought we were called to sit pretty quickly. We walked in although it was crowded we sat within 10 mins. Waitress bought we our drinks and took our order. The staff were friendly, prompt and attentive. I’m not sure about these take our 1 star reviews but for the most part our experience here has always been great. My wife had the steak and for me, the Barrel burger. The Mac and cheese was outstanding- wow !! Both were cooked to perfection and the service was quick. We highly recommend !!

Wonderful location! Food was fresh and delicious. Good portion sizes. Service was excellent – Christian was friendly and attentive. Did a little shopping afterwards in the gift shop – Jennifer was so bubbly and friendly, made it impossible not to smile. Overall, perfect experience.

I guess you just get crap food when you get it delivered. Seems like these people that cooked my food just didn’t care. Ordered the country fried steak for myself and my husband. Paid over 5$ more for a cup of chicken and dumpling soup with each meal. The chicken and dumplings soup was not received with my Ordered once it arrived. Mashed potatoes were cold and stale and look like they were cooked yesterday. Country fried steak was absolutely horrible. Cheddar cheese bites were cold and taste awful. Definitely will not Ordered delivery from this place nor will I eat there in person.

Place was nice. Food was decent. Server was nice but forgot my simple request when my food was served. They serve fried shrimp with a tiny amount of tartar sauce. With the amount of shrimp they serve they should be giving you 3 of those tiny little cups of tartar sauce. I knew it wouldn’t be enough so as soon as it was served I asked for another. She said yes and never returned until we were almost done with our food (six of us at the table). If I had waited to eat until I got the extra tartar sauce everyone else would have been done. So although the food was decent it was not great for me at least

It was my first Cracker Barrel experience and it was quite extravagant!
We had an amazing spread of breakfast food.
The chicken and French toast was an absolute slammer. The chicken had a nice seasoning and was fried to a great crisp. The French toast was fluffy and had a fair sweetness.
The loaded hash browns were out of this world. Crispy, cheesy, and bacon. What more can you ask for?
The service was great even though the place was busy.

This is not the way Cracker Barrel was years ago. I called to place an order for pickup ( Easter) I figured they’d be busy- no problem. I called at 4:55 and ordered the Easter dinner consisting of ham, turkey and 2 sides and a few sides of dumplings. The woman said pick up at 6:10 so I thought they must be busy ( when I got there they weren’t at all not surprised after my ordeal) we went early to see if it was ready, oh it was ready, it was sitting on the to go shelf, no heat lamp keeping it warm, so I asked the cashier ( who was very friendly Spanish guy) how long had it been sitting there? He said “maybe 10 mins” I said I’m going to make sure it’s not cold so felt the containers ( COLD) I asked if they could heat it up they said no they’re busy ( not from what I saw) I asked for a manager because I wasn’t paying $44.00 for cold food that was sitting there. Manager comes up already could tell she was rude and didn’t want to be bothered, I explained I was told to come at 6:10 to pick up my food and got there at 5:30 but was ice cold. She didn’t say 2 words to me, went to the register and rung me up, I said how much did you take off my bill? She said $7 I was not happy, i would have been happy if they reheated our food! Not a sorry for the inconvenience nothing just cold nasty attitude. We get outside and start to open the food ( we had to eat on the go) and the food looked and tasted disgusting. My ham looked like a leftover piece you bring home for the dog, one small slice of turkey, ice cold carrots and green beans, cold mashed potatoes with caked on gelatonous brown cold gravy, biscuit and cornbread were hard and cold and the dumplings were cold and flavorless. And they didn’t put the slice of pecan pie that came with the dinner in the bag. I called 4 times when I got home to ask the managers name so when I wrote my review I could include it but, it sounds like they outsourced their customer service to another country! I’m including the pictures of the food. So basically my food would have been sitting there over 40 mins if I didn’t come when I did, I’m making a call to the health dept to as that’s dangerous people can get sick from that! The manager that came to help had blonde hair and it was at 5:30 Easter Sunday. Needless to say we’ll never be going back.

Cracker Barrel is one of our family’s favorite restaurants to visit whenever we travel to visit family all over the US. They serve with a smile and the food is always delicious. Stick to the breakfast. The sirloin steak is decent too. I have to start remembering to not get the chicken tenders from here because they don’t remove the cartilage so every single piece has inedible parts to it. Chicken pot pie was ok. Paid an extra $3 for the broccoli and cheese casserole for a side and they gave me the tiniest scoop. All the fried chicken items I’ve had from here have sucked. The prices are really good though but like I said, stick to the breakfast cause they do that best.
