Nothing to write home about. If you’re looking for really well cooked chicken, you’ll get it here. Biscuits are great! Rolls are good. Prices a little high for what you get. I’ll give them a second chance

None of these Chicken Express places know how to make gizzards. They are always tough as can be. They need to go get the recipe from Bush’s Chicken (a similar place but usually found a little further down in South Texas). Their chicken is okay but please go see what Bush’s Chicken is doing and get their recipe for gizzards. Anyone who says their gizzards are good has not had good gizzards.

Chicken express has been a staple in my family for decades. Foods always good, except, it used to be a reasonably priced go-to to feed the family. I cannot believe how much they have raised the prices, especially in the last year. Love yall but thats ridiculous

My husband and I got chicken strips to go. Got home and immediately noticed the extremely light color of the fry on the chicken, not crispy at all. Broke apart the first piece, very rare at best. So we tested all of them, same thing. We boxed everything back up, my husband went back, about a 15 minute drive each way with traffic. He pointed out to them that the chicken was literally raw. They did not seem the least bit concerned that they were serving raw chicken. Are they not trained on the fact that consuming raw chicken can cause a serious case of food poisoning and/or other health issues that can be fatal. They did replace our order but here’s real kicker, my husband broke open a couple of pieces from the new order before he left the store, he thought they looked OK. But when he got home and we tried to eat, 7 out of the 10 strips we got were still raw. These people are going to kill someone. We then didn’t eat anything from our order. If they are that unconcerned about serving raw chicken they probably aren’t very concerned with cross contamination either.

Decided to drive through Chicken Express Azle tonight. Ordered 2 3-piece meals, all dark, one with mashed potatoes and cole slaw, the other with okra and cole slaw. No drinks. Here is what we received…
Also no napkins, plastic forks or anything for the rolls

Well we came to chicken express tonight and ordered to eat in at 9:30. The young man of another ethnicity with glasses was very short and the most unfriendly I have encountered at this establishment. It’s like he was upset that we even came in we had to repeat our order three times before he even started to enter into the computer. This is not how any customer should be treated with eye rolls and all.

I wonder how many people have died from eating under cooked chicken from this location. We went through the drive thru and got two tenders meals. We got to the house, sat down at the table and started to eat. The tenders were very pink inside. We gathered the food up and drove back to Chicken Express. They mumbled under their breath but did redo the order. Drove back to the house, sat down at the table to pink chicken again. I should have shredded the chicken at their table. I give up. I will never get chicken from Chicken Express again.
I DO NOT recommend Chicken Express!

I get that prices have gone up but from our usual $45 to now $73 only to find out at the pick up window that they are out of biscuits and cherry pie. Fine what ever. Then I get home to find they forgot my jalapeño ranch and the rolls are covered in some kind of dirty black stuff.

The fried pickles were burnt that I couldn’t eat them. The fish was ok, but small. Not Worth the $11 My wife’s chicken tenders were good. The best part of the meal was the poppers. Probably will not eat here again.
