My fiancé and I had a reservation at 5:30 and it was very easy to book online. His mom called earlier in the day to ask if staff at Bella Vino could help us celebrate our recent engagement & they were absolutely incredible! They set up the sweetest table for two with champagne & the best upstairs Christmas window view of downtown St. Charles. Our server was so professional, kind, and accommodating to us. All staff we saw would smile and welcome us in as well. They also provided us with their amazing brownie dessert with congratulations written on it. Bella Vino is our favorite place to dine and we truly love every plate we try. Thank you so so much for making our night special, it meant a lot to us. We will be back soon!

We visited Bella Vino Wine Bar for a casual Friday dinner date. It was quite packed, and since we didn’t have a reservation, we ended up with a small corner table. We’re not big wine drinkers, so I ordered a sparkling champagne and my husband had a beer—nothing particularly memorable about the drinks.

For food, we ordered stuffed bell peppers, bruschetta, and a squash flatbread. The stuffed peppers were my favorite—sweet, tangy, crunchy, and beautifully presented. The squash flatbread was delicious and highly recommended. The bruschetta was good, but both the bruschetta and flatbread were quite heavy on cheese.

We’d definitely go back, but next time we’d opt for lighter cheese options—especially if you’re not a big cheese person.
Dessert menu looks interesting but we didn’t have the appetite so skipped it.

We stumbled upon this cozy Italian restaurant in downtown St. Charles and were pleasantly surprised! We went for dinner on a Saturday night around 8 PM with a group of four and were seated right away—no wait, which was a huge plus.
The ambience was fantastic—warm, inviting, and just lively enough to feel fun without being too loud. We chose to sit outside on the front patio, which was beautifully lit and perfect for enjoying the evening.
Food and drinks came out quickly, and everything we ordered was delicious. It ended up being the perfect spot for a relaxed girls’ night out. Great service, great atmosphere, and a great find overall. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

My husband and I recently went here with some friends! Good food and service. Highly recommend 🙂

One friend had booked a reservation in advance, which I recommend doing. Upon arrival, we were immediately taken to be seated, even though we were 15 minutes late. The hostess was very gracious and said the crowds can make traffic hard (there was some event/festival going on and Main Street was pedestrian-only). We had to park super far away and speed walk! It was completely worth the trip, but I do advise reserving a spot, especially if there’s an event going on. We saw some non-reserved people get turned away from Bella Vino since they weren’t allowing walk-ins until 8pm that particular night. Not sure if it was due to how many reservations they had already or due to the crowds/event.. but either way.

Bella Vino is a tapas-style restaurant, meaning that the food is appetizer-like. Very sharable, and the plates just come as they are ready. Our table got some wine, the fondue (pictured), the crab dip, calamari, and we each got some pasta too. I had the tortellini which was FABULOUS! My husband had the chicken marsala– He said the pasta was phenomenal but the chicken was unfortunately super dry. Our server, Hailey (..Hayley? Hailee?), was delightful. Very attentive and helpful, as most of us had never visited before.

Our group had an amazing time here and I would highly recommend. The bathrooms were clean and the staff all seemed polite and knowledgeable. The building itself is old and full of character! The stairs were a little cramped and steep, but our table area upstairs was roomy and comfortable! The ambiance was a perfect “charming-small-town-autumn” and I would come back again in a heartbeat! Thanks, Bella Vino!

Me and my wife came for a late dinner and we were pleasantly surprised how good the food and drinks were. Wait time was very minimal. The drink were amazing and delicious. The food was also very good. Thr lighting was very pleasing at night although it might be too dim for older people who have problems seeing. There was one thing we definitely didnt like, and that was the our waitress. Our waitress was the least seen person in and out the whole night we were there. She came out twice in the 1 hour we were there. I was only able to order 1 drink when I could of had at least 3. We were very disappointed with our waitress and hopefully this doesn’t reflect the other servers. Aside from this, everything else was good.

We love this place. We’ve been coming here for years now and it’s never let us down. The food is wonderful, the staff is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. My wife who has celiacs disease always feels at ease here because of how seriously they take their gluten free options. Please don’t go anywhere Bella Vino.

I went here for Valentine’s Day recently and it was great! The food was excellent and well-timed, and the service was on point. Even the decorations were cute. I’ve no complaints. Really, I’ve been here several times over the past few years for various occasions and it’s never disappointed.

It was pretty packed when I visited but the atmosphere is still very nice. We were seated pretty quickly with our reservation. The food was worth the wait I say, would definitely come back for the flatbread. Great place to grab a bite. I would definitely recommend making a reservation beforehand though !
