Welcome to Creole Bagelry and Cafe’, home of the north shore’s only scratch-made, kettle-boiled, authentic New York style bagels since 2003. We make them fresh daily, using natural ingredients including fresh produce delivered daily from local farmers. The bagels are produced in the traditional method of kettling or boiling – before baking. The result is a wonderfully flavorful bagel with no cholesterol, no preservatives, very low fat (most having less than 1G of fat), and low sodium.
We also have a full menu of breakfast omelets, bagel sandwiches, soups, salads, and specialty coffees along with a full-service catering menu.
Our bagels are made with high quality ingredients.
Breakfast dishes, bagels, pastries, king cakes & sandwiches offered in a casual environment.

The fruit was so rotten, it was brown. My $17 bagel had very minimal cream cheese as well. I had to go back in to say something because it was a to go order. I was offered a different side to substitute the fruit, but if I had gotten home and saw it, that wouldn’t have been an option. I waited 10 minutes for a new side and just ended up walking out without it. By that time, my frozen coffee was completely melted. My husband ended up going back in because I was just over it. We did get what we asked for, but it just isn’t worth it.This is my 2nd time here with a really awful experience. I won’t be back and can’t recommend them.

The Creole Bagelry and cafe is a beloved local spot where the warm ambiance invites everyone to come together for a hearty meal, whether it’s breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The bakery’s handcrafted bagels, perfectly baked to achieve a crisp crust and soft interior, are a highlight of the menu, often served with a variety of rich, creamy cheeses that elevate the experience. Patrons eagerly gather around cozy tables, savoring their bagels topped with decadent herb-infused cream cheese or classic flavors like chive, all while sipping on robust, aromatic coffee that fuels lively conversations. The inviting atmosphere buzzes with laughter and camaraderie, making it the perfect haven for friends and families to enjoy delicious food and each other’s company, creating memories over every shared bite and sip.

Mixed experience at Creole Bagelry and Café. I ordered the “Big E” Omelette, which was large, fluffy, and very delicious—I’d give it four stars on its own! Unfortunately, everyone else at the table was disappointed with their meals. My wife’s quiche wasn’t thoroughly cooked and had to be sent back. Our friend’s shrimp and grits were drowned in a sauce that tasted too much like Worcestershire sauce, making it hard to enjoy. The toast was fluffy and good, but the coffee was weak and not to my taste. We didn’t get to try the bagels, so maybe those would’ve been the redeeming factor. Overall, it was a hit or miss.

First visit. My daughters treated me for my Birthday. My favorite was the Praline Waffle. So much to choose from so I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere.

My favorite little place to grab a bite in Slidell. Their bagel breakfast sandwiches are sooo good and a decent value. The rest of the menu is a little pricey, but at least the items are fresh and if good quality. The employees are also great, patient even when I’m being annoyingly indecisive and ready with suggestions if asked. I wish they were open later, as food up to my standards is hard to come by here.

Google says that they close at 2pm. I arrived at 1:40pm to get a bagel. They told me the kitchen was closed. The hours of operation should SAY 6:30 am-1:40pm if that’s the case. Not 2:00 pm!!!
Response to the owner:
I arrive before 1:45. So whether it was posted on the door ( must be written in small letters) or on the menu which I did not see, I was still there before that time. And I did not say to you that I wanted hot food. Regardless, what sense does it make to have hours of operation ending at 2 pm if the kitchen closes at 1:40 ( the time I arrived)? I would also expect as a previous customer, who has frequently supported this business, to be treated politely.

What a nice spot for breakfast!!! In my group, we all loved our food. Sweet, sweet service! And people were really friendly in the Cafe! It’s a great atmosphere. Try it, so many options. Besides bagels, they have waffles, omelets, and more.

New Yorker here. I had tempered expectations for bagels in Louisiana. I was pleasantly surprised. These were chewy on the outside, soft on the inside and if you told me they came from Slidell I’d say you were lying. I grabbed a dozen on my way to New Orleans from Mobile. I highly recommend! My only complaint would be the line takes a minute if they’re busy.

Pretty good but not amazing. Got the crawfish Monica omelette, it was overcooked, so rather dry instead of fluffy and moist. Dark roux on an omelette is a unique idea, but I think those flavors contrast rather than compliment one another. The side of grits was excellent and the bagel was really good too- a welcomed change to the usual breakfast side.
