Needed a quick spot for lunch while out and about for work when I saw a review that mentioned half off rice bowls for Friday’s. Thank you to that Reviewer, because this will be my new spot when I’m in the area. Lemme tell you WHY.
The prices are reasonable for the quality, taste, fast service, and portions that you get. The place was a cute and cozy joint with an outdoor patio and quaint indoor seating.
The drink machine had Brisk raspberry tea (which I love to find), so I was happy to have my half tea and lemonade, rice plate, and chocolate baklava. Bonus was the customer service and chill atmosphere — shout out to the homie who served me and answered all my questions.

My cousin and I ordered from Shako Mako Grill last night and we were in absolute awe. Everything we ordered flavor wise was 11/10, tasted home made and we are already craving our next order. I’ve been going here for many years & through many owners/mgrs. I really liked the remodel. Dining area looks sharp & the patio seems more central to the lay out.
Grabbed a gyro earlier in the week by calling ahead for a to go order. All went smooth, but final sale price is $11.01. Ever consider adjusting unit price to keep from handling the non minted penny in the price?
Tried calling this afternoon a couple of times where it was finally answered by a fax machine.
Google indicated they were open so drove down. The young guy working the counter was actually outside but went in when I headed for the door.
While waiting for my order, the wanderer was assisting some other folks. The lady was trying to leave a tip & the young man at the registered shared they don’t get any of the tips. Yes, the kid WORKING there said this!
Why would management stick a tip jar by the register? That’s wrong & misleading. Owner should be ashamed.
Today’s gyro: The meat was well done, crispy on several pieces & dry. The gyro earlier this week was fresher.
Glad there are other options.
Post posting….. someone here reads these posts. A call was placed to my phone shortly after sharing my thoughts. As I started, have eaten here for many years, so it is Babylon Gyros in my phone. Odd they didn’t want to share a message…..

The inside is small, with only 5 dine in tables. But what the building itself is lacking is more than made up for in the quality of food and service. I ordered a rice bowl with chicken shawarma. My food was brought to my table in about 10 minutes. The chicken was hot and delicious and the hummus was cold and flavorful. Will return and recommend. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Really good food for a decent price. Really good price if you take advantage of their specials, like on Fridays when they have their rice bowls half off. Christopher has great customer service and the good quality of the food is consistent. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something that doesn’t feel too much like fast food.

The food is very good and fresh. The people inside were very nice. I didn’t know this place was here it was kind of hard to find because of The sign that they have. They also sell the Dubai chocolate here. I’ve been wanting to try it for so long. The falafel sandwich was excellent and the fries were salted to perfection. I haven’t tried the chocolate yet because I wanted it to be a little cold before I try it. Update I tried the chocolate and it’s so delicious, creamy and crunchy at the same time it’s addicting!

I usually absolutely love this place, however was not good. The babaganoush tasted awful. There was no flavor to it at all. Normally it has a nice smokey flavor. Plus, they didn’t give me any pita bread to go with it. The chicken bowls were good however. This is usually my go-to for Mediterranean food but I may have to find a new spot. The last few times have not been good.

Everytime!! I pull up for the Mediterranean frequently because it never disappoints. Great tasting food with nice portions that don’t weigh you down or have you feeling sluggish afterwards.
