The food was wonderful, savory and delicious. The atmosphere would have been perfect, if it hadn’t been for the bright, garish Casino lights and gaming advertisements. It’s a a shame that’s visible from the dining room in the gorgeous Draper’s café.

We had lunch here during a day trip for our anniversary, and it was amazing! We loved the deviled eggs, chicken salad, and Mountaineer burger. The decor was maximal and fun and service was fast even though the restaurant was busy.

We visited this restaurant today and it was our first time. The place is decorated lovely. It’s like you’re stepping back in time. We got seated right away. Our waiter came over and asked if we were ready to order. He never told us his name or smiled. We needed a few minutes so he walked away. When he came back I was asking about some of the food items. He did not seem interested to be there waiting on us.
The food itself was amazing. We got the spinach dip appetizer and hubby got Shrinp & Grits and I got the Kate Salad. Everything tasted amazing.
When our waiter came over with the check, he did not put it down nor was their itemized slip in there. We handed over our credit card. It seemed expensive, so I asked my husband if we got the itemized bill. We did not, so we called the waiter over and he gave it to us. So, now we know it seemed expensive, because they already added the 20% tip. The waiter was going to skip giving us the printout so we could leave another tip. Plus, if you did not give someone a handout of the itemized bill, then at least tell them tip is included.
So. food was amazing, place is decorated adorable and service is subpar.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Draper’s Restaurant at The Greenbrier, and it was a delightful experience. The burger was exceptional—perfectly cooked, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The fries were equally impressive, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, complementing the burger perfectly.
While Draper’s is on the pricier side, the value you receive is well worth it. The quality of the food, the ambiance, and the overall dining experience make it a great choice for a special meal. The service was outstanding, with the staff being both fast and friendly, ensuring that we felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our visit.
The charming and elegant atmosphere of Draper’s adds to the overall enjoyment, making it a perfect spot for both casual meals and special occasions. I highly recommend Draper’s Restaurant at The Greenbrier for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable dining experience with excellent food and top-notch service.

The barrel aged burger was phenomenal! The casino royal nachos were a big pile of tasty chips and toppings. The cookie dough milkshake was a great finish to the meal. The restaurant had loud, fun decorations and was very crowded with tables close together.

Atmosphere was nice. Service was ok and food was ok. The pegged 20% gratuity isn’t great as service is poor. There seems to be a 30% premium for food at the resort before the 33.5% fees taxes and tip. Not a great value but a good spot for lunch if you’re not in the mood to go into town.

The H2B staff don’t care to have ANY hospitality, speed, or accuracy because they know every table is assessed a MANDATORY 20% service charge AND an “HPF” fee, regardless of how terrible the meal is. I asked for a peach milkshake with my meal and they gave me a vanilla shake. I didn’t see the waitress until 15 minutes later. The fried green tomatoes on my burger were frozen and dripping wet with condensation. I asked to ADD pepper jack cheese to my burger which was supposed to come with pimento. It came to me with no pimento and only pepper jack. Such a bitter disappointment to an otherwise great resort.

Amazing chicken, great service, wonderful milkshake… but ew, ever tried to drink one with a paper straw? Yuk . Really don’t like their own tipping system. But the resort and hospitality is awesome.

We visited the Greenbrier for the first time and chose to stop here for a late lunch. Unfortunately, the service was extremely lacking. After some of our food arrived, we had to get up to locate silverware, and then again to correct an item that was brought to our table incorrectly. There were also condiments we would have requested that would have made the meal better, but no staff were around to ask. By the end of the meal, we realized a 20% service charge had already been added to the bill, which felt frustrating given the lack of attentiveness. For a resort of this caliber, the experience was very disappointing.

I absolutely loved the Kentucky Hot Brown and their strawberry ice cream. I was told that their ice cream is made in house. Word to the wise, their mint chip ice cream tastes like it is made with real mint. I love artificial mint flavor but I’m not a fan of the real deal. The manager, Lester, is about as kind and accommodating as they come. I would recommend Drapers over the main dining room of the Greenbrier any day!
