Typical Irish pub. Nice and dark the food is very good. Had the wings a couple nights Honey Old Bay is the favorite and the Patrick burger med. was to die for.

While on business trips to DC, I have been attempting to eat at as many of the restaurants located at the National Harbor as I can. I had seen The Irish Whisper, but haven’t stopped by until this trip. Wishing I had hit it up first to be honest. What a hidden gem amongst some of the larger places to eat in the area. Small, dinning area with a lot of personality, due to the excellent staff. I had a burger and to be perfectly honest, it’s probably in my top5 of all burgers ever. It was tremendous. Cook perfectly, tons of flavor, cold crisp pickle and bacon with a lot of crunch. If want to walk into a place, have a great meal/conversation and feel like you’ve known the folks for years…then go to The Irish Whisper.

Great food. Great environment. Loud as heck.so good luck getting extra napkins, water, utensils, etc.

But I would go here again, in fact been here again many times. The happy hour is worth it.

I recommend the burger, the chicken sandwich, and the fish and chips.

Amazing Irish Bar! Great food, specially the wings! I had a whiskey flight for the first time ever which was an awesome experience. Bartenders were incredibly attentive and friendly. They have darts which was very entertaining as well. I will definitely come back!

Solid pub with great happy hour deals. Menu is limited but allows for very fast service.

Whisky and scotch selection is pretty solid and the vibes are very no frills.

During my recent business trip to the National Harbor, I took the opportunity to dine at The Irish Whisper for lunch. As an appetizer, I opted for the Buffalo wings with ranch dressing, which were exceptionally delectable. For my main course, I savored the Fish & Chips, a classic dish executed to perfection. Both dishes were truly remarkable, and the service provided was impeccable. I highly recommend this establishment and eagerly anticipate my next visit.

Came here to have a whisky and cigar. Very good whisky selection and service was fine, but there was no cigar room (as advertised) and the neither of outdoor fire tables worked. Asked the bartender and they were out of propane. And the outdoor furniture was pretty ratty. Will not be back.

Stopped in for dinner one evening and ordered the fish and chips and had a pint. The fish and chips was tasty but giant and enough for two people to split. The only drawback to that was that it was all breading and very little fish inside. I ended up taking off part of the breading just to dig out the fish. The fries were waffle fries and they were seasoned and they were good. The tartar sauce and coleslaw we’re both very good. I recommend stopping in if your hungry for some bar food in a pint. This is a small place so go early or check it’s busy meter before you go. All in all for about $16 plus tip I had a ginormous dinner that was pretty tasty.
