While I was staying at the Delamar during the unfortunate snowstorm we had, I was able to enjoy the ambiance and hospitality of the on-site restaurant, La Plage, which is a hidden gem with a beautiful view, located right on the Mystic River. I tried a Margherita Pizza and was absolutely floored with how balanced and flavorful it was. There was just enough of each ingredient that each bite was a medley of flavor. The crust wasn’t too thick or too thin, was nice and crunchy, and held up the weight of the abundant toppings provided; some of the best pizza crust I’ve had in the area. I also tried a Sol Outono from their beverage menu; the ginger made it nice and warm and the procsecco made it light and bubbly.

For breakfast the next day, I explored their continental breakfast which was beautifully laid out, and after having a coffee I decided to order the Smoked Salmon from their hot menu. The bagel was perfectly made, and loaded up with delicious smoked salmon, with just enough capers and shallots to make each bite shine. The poached egg on top was perfectly made, not too hard and not too runny. For a late lunch I had the fish and chips; the fish was fresh and flaky, and the batter was light, crispy, bubbly and golden, and perfectly crisp. It was also nice that customer needs are anticipated, and I didn’t have to ask for malt vinegar on the side!

The staff are welcoming, delightful, kind, and very professional. They’re very knowledgeable about their menu and cocktails, and made great suggestions when I asked for their recommendations on menu items. Every staff person present made me feel very welcome! Nicole, the manager, is very easy to talk with and clearly values each guest that walks into the dining room. While we were talking about the menu, we talked about how they keep the menu on the smaller side so they can focus on high-quality ingredients and skillful preparation and presentation. The restaurant atmosphere is soothing, warm, clean, and very stylish, serving as a great canvas for a beautiful experience!

Lovely restaurant in Mystic! We went for their burger and beer deal and piano night. The burger was fantastic, it was a huge portion and very tasty. My husband also got the clam chowder and caldeirada. The service was paced and attentive. They also had coat check upon reservation check-in for the restaurant which was appreciated. Would definitely go back if they continue offering specials!

Lovely spot for a meal with excellent service. Our waiter was a bit over the top but the gentleman assisting was lovely.

I like the fact that their seafood is wild and not farmed. Good food. I will not order the steak again as nothing special.

Food was good but we weren’t overly impressed. The whole vibe felt pretentious. The outside dining looks nice if it’s a warm day. Our server was not overly friendly. There are a lot of better (in our opinion) dining options in Mystic so we aren’t rushing to come back.

Had an early dinner with family. Was a nice sunny day though unfortunately on the patio you see FULL SUN after about 530pm. There was a nice breeze we enjoyed at the Old Mystic Seaport though it did not reach the patio so much.
Service was reasonable – perhaps lacking in friendliness a little. Menu was quite limited for options – 1 salad, 1 burger, 1 fried seafood . Food quality was good/great though the unadvertised addition of pepperflakes in the Artichoke & Chourico pizza made it near inedible.
The lack of any shade made it uncomfortable for all by the end of the meal. There are ceiling fans but they were not noticeable. Though might be given to some shading options!!
NO music what so ever – it was noticeably lacking. A little background music would not hurt – especially considering the outside bar area and pool so close by.
The restaurant is new and no doubt going through some teething issues (like 3 calls confirming our reservation). While a more comfortable experience would have been had inside – we did not select out door seating and a waterfront restaurant is best appreciated when you can see the water. A cloudy day would have improved the experience. Will review again as things change!

The atmosphere was elevated and our waitress was kind. The hostess seemed like she didn’t want to be there and wasn’t super friendly. We went for happy hour and the oysters were the worst I’ve ever had and I’ve lived in Charleston, SC and northern VA, so I’ve tried countless oysters along the east coast. Probably won’t be back.

A friend suggested we check out a new restaurant for my birthday. We both ordered the Lobster Fra Diavolo per the waitresses recommendation. I was very disappointed in my meal. There was little to no flavor other than the spiciness from the cherry peppers. The lobster had a texture indicating it was over cooked. I could barely taste the lobster as it was chopped into fine bits and mixed with the pepper. The tomatoes seemed over ripe and mushy. Additionally, the pasta was cold.
On the other hand the dessert was delicious. We had a the crème brûlée and they brought out a special dessert with a candle for my birthday.
The atmosphere is top notch, it’s an absolutely beautiful restaurant and location.

We had a fantastic time at La Plage where the combination of food, and atmosphere made for a memorable meal.

The restaurant offers a stunning scenic view, creating a welcoming and relaxed environment. The ambiance is elegant and comfortable, making it a pleasant evening dinner.

The food quality exceeded expectations. The raw bar was impeccably fresh, and every dish was prepared perfectly. The mushroom pizza stood out as a spectacular creation, rivaling the seafood dishes in a top-tier seafood restaurant. Each bite showcased rich flavors. My favorite is the Caldeirada ( the last photo).

Overall, it was an exceptional experience, combining a scenic setting with great dishes. It’s certainly a place worth revisiting.

WOW. One of the top five dining experiences we’ve ever had. We were considering other spots for dinner and last minute decided to LaPlage. First off, the setting is simply breathtaking! Our server Mason was excellent, the food was wonderful….to be honest, I’m surprised they don’t charge more for their menu items! A spectacular experience overall, we will most definitely be back!
