Absolutely loved the ramen and the portions are perfect. Server was spot on with all her recommendations. I ordered the matcha tiramisu for desert and the server was sweet enough to give us the matcha cheese cake to try. I should have trusted her when she recommended because the cheesecake was amazing. Loved all the food and the service was great too.

I came here specifically for the Spicy Jiro Ramen. This is the only Chicago Ramen location that offers it, as far as I’m aware. It’s funny, because the sign over their front door at this Schaumburg location explicitly says “Jiro Style Ramen,” but the menu they give you at the table still doesn’t list Jiro ramen at all, so it’s almost like a secret menu item?
If you’re gonna try Jiro ramen, you’ve gotta love garlic. I do love garlic, so the ramen broth brimming with minced garlic really hit the spot. That, along with the cabbage, noodles, bean sprouts, spinach, and pork, altogether created a very similar flavor profile to the maze soba offered at Tokyo Shokudo in Mitsuwa (also started by the same chef as Chicago Ramen, I believe).
The cuts of pork were thick, but in my opinion, not so tasty. My husband is a much bigger pork/katsu fan, and he was also not very impressed. I wish I could just opt out of the pork while ordering this dish and save a few bucks.
Service was pretty good, considering only one very hardworking employee was servicing all of the tables.
Unfortunately, a very unpleasant odor was prominent as soon as we walked in the front door. I am not sure if it was a mixture of cleaning supplies and food, or what, but it smelled a bit like a locker room. Not exactly appetizing. Mercifully, the smell was less intense once we were seated at our table.

Decent but not amazing, the vegetable ramen was okay just wish the broth was a bit more interesting – perhaps a miso broth option would be good. Bonus for staying open late however they don’t serve beer and ramen without a beer just isn’t the same.

Amazing food, trust the server. I didn’t catch her name but amazing and sweet service. Had the chicken ramen, gyozas, and edamame. All 10/10, shot for a matcha tiramisu and the waitress recommended the matcha cheesecake as well. Both amazing desserts!! Would come back for sure, amazing service and amazing food

The BEST ramen branch I have ever eaten in Chicago!!! Everything is so delicious, so fresh and the taste is immaculate. The ramen soup was so rich in flavor but was not too thick at all. Will absolutely come again

Delicious ramen all around. The Tonkotsu was phenomenal, the spicy red miso was nice and hot, my daughter faened over the beef rice bowl, and my son stuffed himself with the gyoza and spicy chicken ramen. Generous servings too; we all came away with leftovers. The staff was friendly and the food arrived very promptly (less than 5 minutes service).

Perhaps the broth was a bit too thick, and the ramen along with the pork felt cramped in a small bowl. The flavor was overly salty and didn’t meet my expectations for a red miso base. I only managed a few bites and ended up finishing just the corn. Not recommended

Ordered the spicy miso ramen. Portion was good. Food tasted very good and was spicy as expected. Cha chu piece was fatty and very tender.

A very cozy place with average service. Extremely mild spicy thick broth red miso Raman with egg and wide wavy ramen was ok. The egg was good. White miso Raman with regular ramen was better with flavored soup broth. Both Raman noodles are cooked perfectly. The broths ‘ very greasy. The flavorless pork was mushy/overcooked/melt in the mouth wasn’t good. The hard plastic cups for drinks are very old/overused, they have white chipped/ grind on the top. It was nice they have a ramen dictionary.
