I don’t love giving bad reviews but I’m seriously concerned that 2-3 of the more recent posts have people talking about poor food management and feeling sick afterwards.
We loved how the sushi tasted it seemed fresh and the flavors popped instead of blending all together.
The server was odd didn’t speak or hardly interacted with us, none of the normal chit-chat you get from a great personable server, I wasn’t offended just odd. Not sure about any “free” appetizers and the price is very high for a single speciality roll.
We ordered sushi (I ❤️ Suhsi) and the food was on our table in about 10minutes, I was impressed (although there were only 5 tables in use so not super busy).
Well I woke up at 4am to my husband being violently sick, throwing up and bad diarrhea, stomach cramps etc. I also have been having diarrhea, some bloating, and uncomfortable tummy (way to much info but I’ve been constipation for months now from taking small doses of trizepitide – never had diarrhea while taking it- according to AI this could be why my symptoms are not as severe as my husband’s.)
From all the articles I’ve read and from a previous personal experience somewhere else, these are classic signs of food poisoning. We have not been around anyone who we know was sick and we both were feeling great before dinner, onset was too quick to be anything else.
One manager to another: something is happening with your food handling, you need to investigate and fix it. Good luck!

Would have been great if you all notice customers especially tourists who looks like they have over ordered it would be helpful to inform ahead. Taste wise just ok.. weird though both myself and my sis had a tummy ache after the meal.

Good portion for the price. About $25-30 per person for the bento box and sushi combo. Staff was friendly and also provided free appetizer on the house. Spacious and quiet.

I loved my experience here! They greet you with a warm towel and complimentary miso soup that tasted incredible! The staff were so kind and kept the beverages filled and gave excellent food recommendations. They give you a really good amount of food in the entrée. And it was delicious! Loved the yakisoba. The sushi wasnt the best i had ever had but still quite good. Overall I had an excellent dining experience.

Ajimi is hands down the best salmon sashimi in Fairbanks. The quality is unrivaled. The chefs take pride in their work, the service is always excellent, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Family friendly atmosphere as well.

We ordered a lot of food at Ajimi. The teriyaki was unfortunately way too salty, and I didn’t really enjoy the sushi. But the salmon salad was amazing, the sashimi was excellent, and the atmosphere and staff were super friendly. Mixed experience, but overall a good spot to try.

Our family had a really awesome experience. The food was very fresh and delicious we ordered a big variety. They had beautiful displays, and took pride in their meal preperation. Our waitress was extremely kind and was excellent with our kids. She gave us a lot of attention. The other staff were extremely friendly as well. We will be back for sure.

Absolutely AMAZING sushi and sashimi! I’ve dined at some very nice sushi restaurants (think Michelin Star) and this meets if not exceeds those. Presentation/plating is top notch as well!
