This is the most authentic and delicious Shanghainese food around the 626 area.

That’s their lunch special, a very small plate, very small portion, maybe better call it a kid’s meal ?

July 4th is a slow dining day. The food is just so so in here. A soup dish is pretty salty. The sweet rice dessert did not steam enough time, the rice is still taste hard. The person who highly recommended this place said sorry for the experience. We will not go there again.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years with my family. Amazing, very authentic Shanghainese food (the chef grew up in changning qu!) with incredible staff all around. Hard to pick a favorite dish, but you’d be best off ordering the regional dishes over something more generic!
My personal favorites are the 葱烤鲤鱼, 上海小排骨 and the 上海炒年糕 🙂

This place really deserves a better rating. Of the 20+ Chinese places in the SGV I’ve gone with my family, this is the one we have to go back to every time we’re in town. Their cooking is comforting and self-assured — light but not bland, balanced expertly between salty, umami, and a hint of sweet. Their sea cucumber with baby shrimp and braised whole fish are incredible. Their mapo tofu is quite good considering it’s a Shanghainese place, a little lighter on the oil than you’d expect but still has more than enough flavor. Three generations of my family leave every meal here satisfied. Looking forward to my next visit
